As noted before, this past Saturday’s TNA Rebellion 2026 event in Cleveland, Ohio featured Mustafa Ali defeating Trey Miguel to become the new TNA International Champion.
Ali recently issued an open challenge on Twitter for his title to any indies wrestler.
“Open challenge to independent wrestlers across the world. And the TNA roster can kiss my ass.”

In response to a fan about the criticisms of this open challenge not being open to anyone from AEW due to TNA’s new restrictions for their talents bookings, Ali responded back stating that he is not happy with the situation. Ali also stated that it is not his fault and anyone who is upset should direct their frustrations at the people involved with the situation and not him who has always gone out of his way to bring other up.
“Listen, I am not happy with how events unfolded.
But you and other hoes trying to dunk on me for a decision not made by me and for actively trying to spotlight independent wrestlers?
Get that passive aggressive bulls–t out of here. Direct your frustrations at the people involved with the situation, not the f—ing wrestler that has always gone out of his way to bring others up”
