As noted before, indies wrestler Krule, also known as Mads Krugger and Mads Krule, was involved in an alleged fan stabbing incident at an event for Ruthless Pro Wrestling this past March in Berwyn, Illinois. This “stabbing” incident was later revealed to have been faked and the host venue Berwyn Eagles Club had informed Game Changer Wrestling and other indies promotions that they would no longer be hosting wrestling events due them losing their license over the incident.
Post Wrestling’s John Pollock reported that the Berwyn Police Department recently confirmed that no stabbing occurred at Ruthless Pro Wrestling’s event last month in Berwyn.
Pollock reported that Post Wrestling had requested records of the investigation into the incident after filing a Freedom of Information request and was given an incident report by the BPD.
Pollock reported that Berwyn PD detective William Massuci was tasked with the investigation after being alerted to the Cultaholic article.
Massuci reportedly had contacted a person referred to as the manager of Ruthless Pro Wrestling, who stated that the fan was “causing problems early in the night” and was intoxicated and had been warned by management to calm down or would be removed.
This fan reportedly agreed to calm down but approached Krule after the show and started causing more issues. The manager stated in the police report that “the fan ended up attacking his wrestler and tackled him to the ground. The fan continued to punch the wrestler several times. Then the rest of the wrestlers/employees came in to help and got the fan off of him and escorted the fan out of the business.”
The manager also state that “[Redacted] was not stabbed” in reference to Krule, who was not listed by his real name nor an alias in the redacted version of the report released to Post Wrestling.
Pollock reported that Berwyn Police Department has officially closed the case and stated there was no stabbing and that the wrestler doesn’t want to pursue any criminal complaints against the fan.
