Swerve Strickland has been noticeably absent from AEW television since the March 25th episode of AEW Dynamite, which featured Kenny Omega defeating Strickland in a #1 Contender’s match for the AEW World Championship.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Strickland recently filmed promotional material for AEW’s broadcast partner Warner Bros Discovery.
No other details were given regarding the content of the material that Strickland had filmed nor WBD’s plans for it were given.
In a previous report, Fightful Select had reported that Sttickland was not scheduled for AEW’s Dynasty 2026 event and was not seen in attendance backstage due to him being at a signing event instead that day.
