AEW announced that this year’s co-promoted Forbidden Door event with NJPW, CMLL, and Stardom will be taking place on June 28th at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
It was announced that tickets for this upcoming event will officially go on sale starting on April 21st for premium seating early access and April 27th for the general public.
In an interview with the Mercury News, AEW CEO Tony Khan gave his thoughts about this year’s upcoming event.
“AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door has become one of professional wrestling’s biggest events of the year thanks to our incredible partnerships with New Japan Pro Wrestling, CMLL and STARDOM, and we look forward to fans in attendance and those watching around the world being a part of history.”
NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi was also interviewed about the upcoming event.
“This year sees the fifth AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door and whenever New Japan Pro Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling collide, we see great chemistry between the wrestlers and many memorable moments. This year, NJPW will be playing for keeps to win more than ever. Our roster is fired up to show just how exciting New Japan Pro Wrestling is, and fans can expect a sensational event.”

In an interesting note, this year’s event is currently scheduled to be going head-to-head against TNA Wrestling’s Slammiversary 2026 event that same night in Boston, Massachusetts.
