MJF asks the fans if they want to see the match and they cheer. He says too bad, his back hurts from wrestling close to an hour against Kenny Omega. He says he wonders how their company would look if they forced him to wrestle tonight with an injury. He tells Darby he iwll go checked out by the trainers in the back but he is doing Darby a favor by not wrestling.

He tells MJF that all it takes is one night to drop the wrestling world on its head. If he is not ready now, he will never be ready. Bryan Danielson gets up and says he just got a message from Tony Khan. He says Tony agrees with MJF, it is unfair for him to wrestle when he is unprepared. He says Tony will get him prepare of time to prepare because the match will happen tonight in the main event.

He says if MJF refuses, he will be stripped from the World Championship. Allin says he will beat his ass and Darby’s music hits.

Video: Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay

Tony Schiavone caught up with Kenny Omega after the main event of Dynasty, as Omega said he’s got nothing and apologizes. The camera goes into the trainers room where Will Ospreay is still being worked on, as Omega asks if he’s doing ok? Ospreay said no, but welcome to the club. Omega said this isn’t how he pictured it for either of them, as he feels like he let everyone down. Ospreay cut him off saying he was there when Omega lost to Okada in the Tokyo Dome in 2017 and saw him fight back and win the big one. Omega said he doesn’t have time left, but Ospreay does, it’s his time, he knows Ospreay can take it back. Ospreay said they’ve still got this. He’s been crying the last 40 minutes, but his dream is still being the AEW World Champion and hopes Omega hasn’t given up on it, either, he knows Omega can do it. Both of them agree to have one another’s backs. Ospreay leaves and Omega says to himself “I’m you’re hero, huh? Maybe I can’t give up, maybe there’s still a chance.”

He grabs a microphone after the match. Ciampa says this was the example and why is because he is sick of waiting. He says he wants it all. He came because this is where the best wrestle and he wants all the gold. If he is not making himself clear, Darby Allin, MJF, whoever wins, the Psycho Killer is coming for the AEW World title.

Video: Darby Allin, MJF

Video package for Darby Allin is shown and the hell he’s had to go through over his time in AEW to get to this moment tonight. We go back to the first meeting between MJF & Allin, with MJF winning via side headlock (and Dynamite Diamond Ring). We see Allin defeating Andrade and MJF defeating Omega at Dynasty. Also a post-match promo MJF cut with Renee Paquette saying he’s going to celebrate his win, going dark on socials (thus explains why MJF had no idea about tonight’s title match.)

In-Ring: FTR, Stokely Hathaway

Back from commercial, FTR and Stokely Hathaway come down to the ring. Dax says he has read how them winning has made people angry. He says everyone loves an underdog story because people can relate to it but they are not underdogs, the people are just losers. Like Adam and Christian Cage. He says as long as they are champions, they will never get a title shot again.

Stokely says the fans are educated people and they know about David versus Goliath. The two men in the ring are Goliath and there are a lot of Milli Vanillis, wanna be Davids.

Cash says they would like to pay homage to the careers of Adam and Christian Cage with a moment of silence. Now that that’s out of the way, for those with the benefit of flash photography, they are going to be generous and give a ten second pose.

He says the Jet is looking good. Before he won the title, he did lose the trios title the night before. He says he doesn’t blame Speedball for losing but sometimes you have to slow down to speed back up. And the jet is riding high. He says tonight there is MJF against Darby and Jet two belts sounds good to him.

Video: Jericho, Ricochet, GOA

Footage of Ricochet defeating Jericho at Dynasty was shown, ending with a Spirit Gun that could’ve ended it, but a Lionsault by Ricochet for good measure sealed the deal.

In-Ring: Jericho, The Demand

Renee Paquette is in the ring and she introduces Chris Jericho. She tells him that last week, Ricochet said he thought Chris was going to be rusty. She asks him how it feels to be back. He says he feels happy to be back and in the ring. He says one of his favorite matches in such a long time, even though he lost, he doesn’t think he lost because he was rusty or outnumbered. He congratulates Ricochet and out comes Ricochet.

He tells Chris to listen to him. He says he respects him but Chris did not listen to him. Chris signed his contract and he got himself hurt. And he had to do do it, the opportunity was in the palm of his hand. He had to take him out with the lion sault or he renamed it the Rico sault. He gives Chris credit, he didn’t completely embarrass himself. He did pretty good but not good enough to overcome the rise of Ricochet. He says with that being the case, to do himself a favor and to quit while he is ahead. He says Chris keeps reinventing himself. We saw The lion heart, the demo God, the light up jacket, how about the guy who gets his ass beat by The Demand every time he shows up. He says this could be the best run of his entire career.

Jericho says the Rico sault is brutal. He says Ricochet bald, he appreciates him coming out bald, he respects his opinion bald. He says Ricochet is standing on the stage with his two goons, dumb and ugly. He has a proposition for him bald. To leave dumb and ugly, to come down bald and face him one on one, right now.

Ricochet tells him not to call him bald. Jericho says he is too scared and bald to come down. Ricochet tells them to stay there and not to go down to the ring, no matter what. He gets in the ring and Jericho with a hip toss followed by a clothesline.

Down they come to the ring and they grab Jericho. They triple team Jericho. Ricochet lands the lion sault on Jericho.

Video: Don Callis, Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita

After Dynasty on Sunday, Renee Paquette asked Don Callis & Kazuchika Okada what happened out there when Konosuke Takeshita walked by, saying it was an accident, mockingly saying I’m So Sorry! Okada had to be held back by Callis, as Takeshita walked away smiling.

Will Ospreay vs. Hechicero

Ospreay was heavily wincing taking off his entrance robe, as Bryan Danielson talks how this could be an incredibly bad idea to wrestle this soon after what happened at Dynasty against Jon Moxley. Don Callis walks out and gives an entrance to Hechicero as only he can (I think I caught a Super Nintendo in there). Despite Ospreay being heavily taped up, it was an even back and forth ground work early. Ospreay managed to fire off a snap hurricanrana that sent Hechicero outside, as Ospreay met him with a slingshot cross body. 10 corner punches back inside by Ospreay, who sinks in a Figure Four to keep Hechicero grounded. Marina Shafir is shown watching in the front row, as a series of standing switches led to Hechicero hitting a spinning hammerlock backbreaker and corner step-up knee to the back for two. Surfboard Stretch and pulling the hair to crank the neck back even more, as Hechicero stayed in control until Ospreay fired off a desperation handspring corkscrew kick for the reset.

Ospreay hit Pip, Pip, Cheerio and a standing Sky Twister Press, both of which netted near falls. Both rise and the straps have come down for Hechicero, who dodges a trifecta of strikes, until Ospreay floated over a hip toss into an enzugiri. Ospreay wanted Hidden Blade, but Hechicero countered into his Guillotine Head Scissors Driver for two, as Ospreay got his foot on the rope. Callis left commentary pissed off, arguing with referee Rick Knox, as Hechicero was relentless on his attack as Doc Sampson came in to check on Ospreay. Hechicero grabbed Ospreay, took him outside and slammed him onto the railing, taking him back in the ring, locking in a head scissors, continuing to target the neck. Back to the floor, Hechicero cleared the top with a huge dive before going back inside up top for a diving bulldog for two.

Out of nowhere, Ospreay managed a desperation Stundog Millionaire, Cheeky Nandos, tried a reverse slam, but Hechicero into a roll-up for two. Both continue trading pin attempts until Ospreay hit a thrust kick, Oscutter blocked, as Hechicero rolled Ospreay into a cross arm-breaker into a triangle choke. Ospreay powered up into a Styles Clash and Hidden Blade for the win.

Winner: Will Ospreay via Pinfall.

Post-match, Ospreay stared down Callis & Lance Archer when he was attacked from behind by Mark Davis, who squashed Ospreay and stood over him.

We cut to Renee Paquette who is on stage and she is interrupted by Thekla. She says she is champion and you better ger used to that. Alex Windsor comes out and she says she should beat the piss out of her right now. She says Thekla isn’t the only champion because she’s the NJPW Strong Women’s Champion. Alex says that Thekla got herself fired from Japan and Thekla says she got fired because they couldn’t handle her there and no one can handle her here. Alexa challenges her to a title match at Collision and Thekla accepts.
