As noted before, Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Spring BreakThru 2026 show in Everett, Washington featured Darby Allin defeating MJF to become the new AEW World Champion. The nature of MJF’s quick squash loss quickly led to online speculation that MJF could be going on another break from AEW for an acting role.
Self Made Pro Wrestling reported that one source spoken to with knowledge of the situation stated that MJF is currently not expected to miss any time for AEW and is scheduled to appear at upcoming Dynamite shows. This same sources reportedly also stated that MJF is not filming a movie at this point.
This same source reportedly also stated that MJF is also currently factored into AEW officials plans for this May’s Double or Nothing 2026 event in Queens, New York.
