Friday’s live episode of The Nikki & Brie Show podcast featured Nikki Bella providing an update on her current injury recovery and status for WrestleMania 42.

As noted before, Nikki Bella has been out of action for WWE since the March 27th WWE SmackDown show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania due to an ankle injury. Bella’s status for her scheduled Four-way tag team match with Brie Bella for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 42 is currently in doubt and WWE having backup plans in place for the Kabuki Warriors to potentially replace The Bellas in the match.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Bella will not be medically cleared in time to compete at this weekend’s WrestleMania 42 event.
Johnson reported that at the time of his report, it was not known if WWE officials will introduce a replacement team for the Bellas or change it to being a Triple Threat match instead.
Prior to her injury and removal, Bella had been scheduled to compete in a Four-way tag team match with Brie against Lyra Valkyria & Bayley, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, and The Irresistible Forces (Lash Legend & Nia Jax for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at Night 1 of WrestleMania 42 on April 18th.
