Monday’s WWE RAW show in Knoxville, Tennessee featured Los Garza’s Angel and Berto making a surprise appearance and being quickly squashed by Oba Femi for his latest Open Challenge series match. Angel posted a cryptic tweet following the show thanking the fans who have never lost support in him and Berto, which quickly led to online speculation of Los Garza’s time in WWE could be ending soon.
The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez reported that his sources stated that the current belief is both Angel and Berto are not going anywhere and instead are probably safe in terms of their job status in WWE.
Alvarez reported that Lucha Libre AAA is still looking for a television deal in the United States for the reason why Los Garza’s and a lot of the Hispanic talent jobs in WWE are probably safe for the moment.
In regards to AAA’s current expansion plans for the United States, Alvarez reported that those spoken to stated that the reason why AAA under WWE’s ownership has yet to announce any dates in the U.S. is due to major visa-related issues.
Alvarez reported that this is also the reason why WWE and AAA have not officially announced where the September 11th Night 1 event will be taking place for this year’s two-night TripleMania 34.
The second night of Triplemania 34 is currently scheduled to take place on September 13th in Mexico City, Mexico.
