Marty Jannetty Underwent Foot Amputation

As noted before, former WWE wrestler Marty Jannetty had revealed on Facebook in January of 2024 that doctors had told him that he would need to undergo a leg amputation.

A recent episode of the Monte & The Pharaoh podcast featured former wrestler Eddy Mansfield. One of the topics discussed included Mansfield revealing that his longtime friend Jannetty recently underwent foot amputation surgery.

“One of my dearest friends ever on the face of this earth and was a great wrestler had his foot amputated, and his name is The Rocker Marty Jannetty.”

Mansfield also gave his thoughts about his critisms of WWE for not helping take care of Jannetty’s foot issues.

“His problem has always been his ankles, and his ankles were screwed up in a WWE wrestling ring and making them a lot of money. Him and Shawn Michaels …

The WWE and Shawn Michaels should have stepped in and made sure he went to the best when it all started. And give him the best medical attention and to the best doctors that money could buy. And that wasn’t done. I guarantee they’d do it for Shawn Michaels, though.”

Mansfield also gave his thoughts about his belief that Jannetty should be in WWE’s Hall of Fame.

“He should be in the Hall of Fame. Without a shadow of a doubt, he should be. And Shawn Michaels should be the guy who’s introducing him into the Hall of Fame. How come he hadn’t done that?”
