As noted before, Baron Corbin was released from WWE in November of 2024 as part of a larger batch of talent releases at the time. Corbin has been working under the ring name of Bishop Dyer in Major League Wrestling and the indies since his departure from WWE.
Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources stated that WWE officials have recently “heavily talked” about Corbin making a potential return to the company.
Meltzer reported that he has not heard if a deal has been made yet but it is something that has been talked about within WWE.
Meltzer also speculated that Corbin’s return could be related to Danhusen’s backstage laboratory segment talking about him working on something bigger on this past Friday’s WWE SmackDown show.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources confirmed that Corbin’s name has been internally speculated for the last couple of weeks. One source within WWE stated that they had heard about it recently.
In regards to Corbin’s current contract with MLW, Sapp reported that Corbin is currently not under a long-term contract with MLW which is why he has been able to make appearances for AEW and other promotions over the several months.
Sapp also reported that Corbin has maintained a positive relationship with WWE since his departure and many spoken to within the company stated that they would not be surprised to see him make a comeback in the future.
Corbin previously worked in WWE from 2012 to 2024. Corbin is currently one half of the MLW World Tag Team Champions with Donovan Dijak under the team name of The Skyscrappers.
