Tony Khan Planning To Hold AEW Fairway To Heaven Golf Tournament To Go Along with Fairway To Hell Wrestling Event in 2027
AEW held their first ever AEW Collision Fairway to Hell special earlier this month at the indoor golf course venue of SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
A recent episode of the Off The Ropes podcast featured AEW CEO Tony Khan as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Khan’s thoughts about him wanting to hold a golf tournament in 2027 titled “AEW Fairway to Heaven” and have it take place alongside AEW’s next Fairway to Hell wrestling show.
“With the Fairway to Hell wrestling show, next year, I wanna have in conjunction — and this is my plan — the Fairway to Heaven golf tournament. I think if we have some wrestlers out there… We can get out there. I love playing golf and I don’t get much time for it so if I can find a way to make it a wrestling event, that makes it a business expense and it’s a good reason to get out on the golf course.”

Chris Jericho Comments on His Wizard & Learning Tree Eras Being Underrated
A recent episode of The Ringer’s The Mask Man Show podcast featured Chris Jericho as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Jericho’s thoughts about his brief stint with “The Wizard” character in AEW.
“When you’re going through underrated Jericho eras, gosh, I think The Wizard was pretty cool when I started throwing the fireballs. That was something that nobody had seen for years in pro wrestling, I just thought that was really cool. We were in Vegas and I had to get a Magician’s License for real to throw a fireball because that’s the rules that the commission has. I still renew it every year and carry with me at all times, so yes, I am a licensed magician in Nevada.”
Jericho also gave his thoughts about his past Monday Night Jericho and Learning Tree eras in his wrestling career.
“I think the first kind of iteration of Jericho is the crybaby era, the tantrums and slamming the chair against the post. Ripping off Dave Penzer’s tuxedo, that was kind of the era of, ‘Who is this guy?’ The paragon of virtue and all of that stuff. Monday Night Jericho, that era. That was a really good time. I also think that The Learning Tree was a good era because it was kind of really going left field and kind of focusing on the haters of the world, which then made them hate it even more. That might be a little bit more of a Stones dirty work. Kiss The Elder, Sane Anger type of vibe. I thought that was a really cool one as well.”
Jericho also gave his thoughts about how he gives full effort for every single iteration of his character throughout his wrestling career.
“Whether you like it or not, I’ve given 1000% for every single iteration of Chris Jericho. There’s never been one where I thought, ‘Oh, this one’s not going to work, let me focus on it.’ Everything that I’ve done, I’ve put a million percent into it. Sometimes it doesn’t work as well as the others, but the intent and the effort and the passion has always been there.”

AEW Video Games Future Update
AEW released their AEW Fight Forever video game in June of 2023, which to this date has been the only major AEW-branded video game released on consoles and PC. AEW’s Fight Forever video game received very mixed critical reviews and reception over issues that plagued the game that was developed by Yuke’s.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent Q&A article that he has not heard any news from his sources about AEW working on a potential sequel to Fight Forever or a new video game.
Sapp reported that AEW owns the rights to the game engine that was made for Fight Forever but the company ran into budgeting issues with the game as it progressed in development.
Sapp speculated that he expects AEW will develop another video game in the future but he does not think they will announce it as early as the first game was since that would put more pressure on AEW to get the game out quicker. AEW’s Fight Forever video game was initially announced in October of 2019.
