Ludwig Kaiser (El Grande Americano) Arrested on Battery Charges in Florida

WWE and Lucha Libre AAA talent Ludwig Kaiser, also known as El Grande Americano, was recently arrested in Orange County, Florida.

In a recent update on arrest records website Recently Booked, it was revealed that Kaiser, real name Marcel Barthel, was arrested on May 20th on charges of battery following a recent incident.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources confirmed that Kaiser had been arrested on Wednesday and was bonded out of Orange County Corrections after paying a $1,000 bail that same day.

Johnson reported that details of Kaiser’s incident are currently not known beyond those spoken to stating that it was not a domestic incident.

Kaiser is currently scheduled to be facing off against Original El Grande Americano (Chad Gable) in a Mask vs. Mask match at Lucha Libre AAA’s Noche de Los Grandes 2026 event on May 30th in Monterrey, Mexico.
