MJF Comments on “Vince McMahon Is To Blame For The Comedic Perception Of The Hair vs. Title Stipulation”
Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown on SI held a recent interview with MJF. One of the topics discussed included MJF’s thoughts about his belief that Vince McMahon is to be blamed for the comedic perception of the hair stipulation in wrestling matches over some online criticisms about the stipulation for his Hair vs. Title match against Darby Allin at AEW Double or Nothing 2026 being too comedic for a serious feud.
“You can thank Vince McMahon for that, yeah. It wasn’t comedy in Memphis. It wasn’t comedy in World Class. It wasn’t comedy in Mexico.
Listen, I can’t speak for anybody else, all I know is that I make money off this hair, okay? I’m in movies, I’m a top guy in this industry and if I want to be a top guy in this industry, I can’t be bald. Bald doesn’t sell, it just doesn’t. There’s only one reason I’d be able to pull off being bald, and it’s if I was trying to be some Jason Statham esque wannabe. The fact of the matter is, I’ve got good Hollywood looks. I’m gonna be in action movies kicking ass down the line, but I don’t want to be bald doing it. Jason Statham can pull it off, I’ve seen what my head looks like with no hair. My junior year of high school, the whole football team got buzz cuts. It wasn’t pretty man and I’m not interested in going back to that. No thank you.”

Jim Ross Provides Heath Update
AEW commentator Jim Ross has made sporadic appearances in AEW in recent years due to him dealing with various health and injury-related issues, including a battle with skin and colon cancer that he was declared “free” from this past June. Ross had recently stated that he is planning on making a return appearance to AEW at this weekend’s Double or Nothing 2026 event.
A recent episode of the Grilling JR podcast featured Ross giving his thoughts about WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley’s upcoming appearance at AEW’s Double or Nothing 2026 event and Foley’s potential future with the company. Ross also provided an update on his current health stating that he recently had a “very positive” appointment with his neurologist but they are concerned about dementia or Alzheimer’s issues so he is undergoing some tests.
“I don’t know how much he wants to work. And if you look at other guys, myself included, we’re used on a limited basis. And that keeps me, in this case, fresher and it gives me a chance to continue to get my ailments addressed.
I had a very positive doctor’s appointment with my neurologist. Everybody’s getting in on the act, man. So the neurologist and I had an appointment and they took a bunch of blood and ran some tests. You know, I think they’re worried about dementia or Alzheimer’s. And I said, ‘What the hell are you going to do about it?’ It’s not a cure. You know, if there’s meds I could be taking preventively, tell me what they are and I’ll do it.
We’ll see how it works out. I’m going through a lot of tests now. I don’t feel bad at all. I feel great, actually. But you know, Conrad, let me tell you something buddy. Getting old is a bitch.”
