AEW Double or Nothing 2026 PPV Buys Reportedly Was A ‘Huge Success’

AEW’s Double or Nothing 2026 event on May 24th at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York reportedly was a “huge success” in terms of pay-per-view buys, according to the Wrestling Observer Radio.

Dave Meltzer reported that the early numbers and estimates for Double or Nothing 2026 currently trend towards it ending up in the top five or six highest PPV buys for an AEW event in AEW history.

Meltzer reported that while it is currently not known if Double or Nothing will beat the buys number that All In 2025 generated, it was the biggest buys that AEW has ever done so far on HBO MAX.

In regards to comparisons with this past March’s Revolution 2026 event, Meltzer reported that the early numbers for Double or Nothing had beaten Revolution by a fairly significant margin. Meltzer also reported that Double or Nothing is currently up 15% in buys from Revolution based on numbers known but he speculated that the final percentage number will likely be a bit lower.

Meltzer also reported that Double or Nothing’s buys are currently not expected to beat Revolution 2024, which had featured Sting’s retirement match, nor All Out 2021, which had featured CM Punk’s first match in AEW, nor All In 2023, which was the first Wembley Stadium show.
