As noted before, Jacob Fatu was believed to have suffered a potential injury at a WWE live event on Thursday in Liverpool, England. The nature of Fatu’s injury nor if it was just him selling the effects of his Street Fight match against Solo Sikoa was not known at the time.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources confirmed that Fatu did get legitimately hurt.
Those spoken to reportedly stated that WWE officials are concerned that Fatu might not be cleared in time for his Tribal Combat match against Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at this Sunday’s Clash in Italy event.
Johnson reported that WWE officials are currently mulling over alternative plans in the event that they need to pivot away from Fatu’s scheduled match against Reigns. Those alternative plans reportedly are currently not known.
False Finish’s Cory Hays reported that his sources stated that while WWE officials are looking into possible pivots for their plans, the current assumption is that Fatu will be fine for this Sunday’s event. Those spoken to reportedly stated that Fatu had suffered a back injury.
