TayJay Earns Shot at AEW Women’s Tag Titles

Saturday’s AEW Collision show at the Propst Arena At Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama featured TayJay (Tay Melo & Anna Jay) going to a time limit draw against Divine Dominion (Lena Kross & Megan Bayne) in a 5-Minute Eliminator match for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship.

As a result of TayJay managing to go the distance in an Eliminator match, they earned a shot against Divine Dominion for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team titles at a future show.

Tommaso Ciampa Explains His Reasons for His Attack on Chris Jericho

Saturday’s AEW Collision show also featured Tommaso Ciampa explaining his reasons why he attacked Chris Jericho following Jericho’s match against Ricochet at this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite and Collision three-hour show.

During the show, Ciampa came out to the ring and stated that he didn’t have just one or two reasons why he attacked Jericho but instead 1,004 reasons and pulled out a long list in reference to Jericho’s iconic 1004 list of moves segment in WCW. Ciama stated Fozzy sucks, he hates Jericho’s light up jackets, Jericho’s crappy cruises, Jericho’s armbars, and he hates Jericho’s hair. This led to “bald” chants by the crowd directed at Ciampa, which Ciampa responded back telling them to shut up and he is not like Ricochet. Ciampa stated Jericho is scum and that he has fooled the fans and the people in the back. Ciampa continued stating he knows better and Jericho is a snake and will see him when he sees him.

Hazuki Wins AEW In-Ring Debut

Saturday’s AEW Collision show also featured Stardom talent Hazuki making her official in-ring debut in AEW.

Hazuki faced off against Maya World in a singles match, which was won by Hazuki. This match featured CMLL World Women’s Champion Persephone on guest commentary.

Following the match, Persephone got into the ring and confronted Hazuki face-to-face ahead of their First Round match in this year’s Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament.

AEW Pays Tribute to Dennie Condrey

Saturday’s AEW Collision show also featured AEW paying tribute to the late Dennis Condrey who passed away this past March.

During the show, Tony Schiavone gave a speech at ringside paying tribute to the life and legacy of Condrey in pro wrestling and him being a founding member of the Midnight Express.

Survival of Fittest Match Announced for Vacant TBS Title

Saturday’s AEW Collision show also featured the announcement of a first-ever Survival of the Fittest match in AEW to crown a new TBS Champion.

During the show, it was announced that there will be six qualifying matches and the winners of those matches will advance to the Survival of the Fittest match for the vacant TBS title at the July 1st AEW Dynamite show in San Diego, California.
