Rebel’s Terminal ALS Update – Rebel Joins I AM ALS as Ambassador

As noted before, Rebel, real name Tanea Brooks, announced this past May that she was diagnosed with terminal ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). During this past May’s AEW Double or Nothing 2026 post-show media scrum, AEW CEO Tony Khan had stated that he wanted to work with the ALS Foundation for a Fight For The Fallen special to benefit people dealing with ALS and its treatment in honor of Rebel. AEW recently released new special “Rebel Heart” merchandise with 100% of the profits going to support those affected by ALS.

Rebel provided an update earlier today announcing that she has joined the I AM ALS organization as an ambassador.

“With I AM ALS, we are going to pass a law called ACT for ALS, and get closer for a cure, but we need your help.

ALS may be a terminal diagnosis, but I’m showing up to fight as an Ambassador for I AM ALS. This patient-led movement is stepping into the ring every day to drive real progress and passing laws like the ACT for ALS for research and treatments. I’m proud to join I AM ALS and I’m asking you to step into the ring with us. Please take action.”
