As noted before, Jungle Jack Perry’s contract with AEW is currently set to expire soon and Perry has been in talks for a potential new deal.
The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez reported that his sources stated that Perry still has not signed a new contract with AEW as of Thursday morning.
“As of this morning, Jack Perry still has not re-signed.”
In a media call held earlier today to promote the upcoming AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026 event on June 28, AEW CEO Tony Khan gave his thoughts about Perry’s current contract status and him being hopeful to have Perry in AEW for a long time.
“The plan for AEW and Jack is for Jack to be here for a long time. I have believed that Jack is a great wrestler for many years and I continue to feel that way. I like Jack very much, personally. He has a very bright future in wrestling and a great mind for wrestling. It’s been really gratifying for me and fans (to see) the return of Jungle Jack Perry and seeing fans embrace Jack and the great matches he’s been having. The plan is for Jack Perry to be in AEW for a long time, so that’s going to happen.”
