Gunther & Nick Aldis Get Involved In Post-Show Altercation Angle at WWE Night of Champions 2026

As noted before, Saturday’s WWE Night of Champions 2026 event at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia featured Sami Zayn defeating Cody Rhodes and Gunther in a Triple Threat match to become the new Undisputed WWE Championship.

Following the show, a very frustrated Gunther confronted SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis that led to a physical altercation breaking out between the two.

Gunther asked Aldis if he was happy because he lost the title match again and the two exchange heated words. Gunther then stated that Aldis was jealous of him and called Aldis a failed wrestler. This then led to Gunther and Aldis shoving each other as WWE officials rushed in to break it up and separate the two.


El Hijo del Vikingo To Defend AAA Latin American Title on NXT

Saturday’s AAA TV show on FOX Latin America and WWE and AAA’s official YouTube channels featured AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio makign several announcements.

One of the announcements was Mysterio stating that he had a talk with NXT GM Robert Stone and the two agreed for El Hijo del Vikingo to go to NXT and defend his AAA Latin American Championship at an upcoming WWE NXT show.


Roman Reigns Appearance Announced for June 29 WWE RAW Show

WWE announced one new segment for the card of this Monday’s WWE RAW show at the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

This upcoming show will be airing at an earlier than usual start time of 6PM EST on Netflix due to WWE holding a double RAW and SmackDown tapings that night at the same venue.

This new segment announced was WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns to make an appearance on the show.

Current card for June 29th WWE RAW show:

  • Chad Gable vs. JD McDonagh
  • WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns to appear

WWE Files New Trademark

WWE filed a new trademark for “Bakusai” on June 26 for wrestling and entertainment-related purposes to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

It is currently not known what WWE intends to use this new trademark for nor who might be getting it as their new ring name.

It is currently speculated online that this could potentially be the new ring name of former NJPW talent Hiromu Takahashi if he were to sign a contract with WWE.
