As noted before, current TNA World Champion Mike Santana’s contract with TNA Wrestling is currently set to expire sometime this July. WWE is currently under the belief that Santana will likely be on their main roster by the end of 2026 if he signs with them.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Santana finished up his commitments with TNA at this past Sunday’s Slammiversary 2026 event. That event was notable for Nic Nemeth defeating Santana to become the new TNA World Champion.
Johnson reported that Santana is not scheduled to appear at TNA’s upcoming Impact! tapings on July 1-2 in Albany, New York.
In regards to the current status of his TNA contract, Johnson reported that Santana’s current contract is set to expire in the “upcoming days” but an exact date when he will become a free agent was not given.
Prior to his departure, Santana had been with TNA since April of 2024 following a prior stint from March of 2017 to August of 2019.
