TNA Wrestling announced that they have released Eric Young from the company effectively immediately.
“TNA Wrestling has come to terms on the release of Eric Young, effective immediately. EY has had a legendary TNA career, including twice as TNA World Champion. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.
Fightful Selct reported that their sources stated that Young had requested his release from TNA which was granted by the company.
It was reported that those spoken to within WWE currently expect him to return to their company. It was also reported that Young has long had a good relationship with WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque and that the door has been open for him to come back to the company.
Prior to his departure, Young had been with TNA since July of 2023 following a prior stint with the company from January of 2004 to March of 2016.
