Bill Apter held a recent interview with WWE Hall of Famer and AEW manager Jake “The Snake” Roberts. One of the topics discussed included Roberts revealing that he has departed from AEW.
This interview was recorded this past May and released on Sunday, July 5.
“Loved it. I just finished up working for him. I’m no longer employed by AEW.”
Roberts also gave his thoughts about what it was like working for AEW CEO Tony Khan during his time in the company.
“[Tony Khan] is awesome, really is — breath of fresh air.”
Prior to his departure, Roberts had been with AEW since March of 2020 working as on-screen manager, first for Lance Archer and later for La Facción Ingobernable, and also as a member of AEW’s community relations department. Roberts last appeared in AEW in November of 2024.
