Mini Vikingo Wins Shot at AAA Cruiserweight Title

Saturday’s AAA TV show at the Arena Potosi in San Luis Potosi, Mexico featured Mini Vikingo defeating Jack Cartwheel and Dragon Lee in a #1 Contender Three-way match for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship.

As a result of his victory, Mini Vikingo will be facing off against Rey Fenix for the AAA Cruiserweight title at the August 1st Verano De Escandalo 2026 show.

El Grande Americano vs. Dominik Mysterio for AAA Mega Title Set for AAA Triplemania 34

Saturday’s AAA TV show also featured one newly updated match announced for the card of Triplemania 34 Night 2, which takes place on September 13 at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico.

This new match announced was an AAA Mega Championship match of El Grande Americano vs. Dominik Mysterio (c).

This new match was setup following a backstage promo segment involving AAA GM Rey Mysterio, Americano, and Dominik.

El Hijo del Vikngo Vacates AAA Latin American Title

Saturday’s AAA TV show also featured the announcement of El Hijo del Vikingo vacating his AAA Latin American Championship due to a knee injury and surgery.

During the show, Dorian Roldan and Omos came out to the ring. Roldan talked about Vikingo suffering a knee injury and will be unable to compete for at least several weeks after undergoing surgery. Roldan continued blaming AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio for causing Vikingo to get injured when he sent him off to WWE’s NXT and SmackDown shows. Roldan stated that they will be suing Mysterio for his negligence. Roldan then stated that Vikingo has vacated his title and named Omos as the new champion and handed the belt over to Omos.

This led to Mysterio’s music playing and him coming out. Mysterio told Roldan this is not how they do things and demanded for Omos to hand over the belt or else he will suspend him. Omos gave Mysterio the belt after shoving it hard into him causing Mysterio to hit the ropes. Mysterio stated that he will be making an announcement next week to address how a new champion will be crowned. Mysterio then told Roldan if he was going to sue him, then he will see him in court.

AAA Verano De Escandalo 2026 Announced To Be Three-Week Special

Saturday’s AAA TV show also featured AAA GM Rey Mysterio announcing that this year’s Verano De Escando show will be a three-week special starting on July 25 at the Arena San Marcos in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
