– Bret Hart, who defended the WWF title at Wrestlemania IX, completed a hat trick of sorts, as he defended the tag titles as a part of the Hart Foundation at VII, Challenged for the IC title at Wrestlemania VIII, and defended the World Title at Wrestlemania 9.
– WrestleMania IX was the only WrestleMania ever held outdoors, and it was billed as “The World’s Largest Toga Party” as not only did some fans in attendance wear togas, but so did some of the WWF announcers such as Howard Finkell, Randy Savage, Bobby Hennan, and even Good Ol’ Jim Ross.
– Speaking of JR, Wrestlemania IX was Jim Ross’s WWF debut… Togas, Randy Savage, Las Vegas, Outdoors, what a debut for JR.
– Along with Jim Ross, Wrestlemania IX was the Wrestlemania Debuts of the Steiners (in their only Wrestlemania appearance), Razor Ramon, and Rikishi (as Headshrinker Fatu).
– The WWF title was the only title to change hands at Wrestlemania IX, as the title changed hands twice with Yokozuna defeated Bret Hart, and Yoko losing the title against Hulk Hogan.
– Speaking of Hogan, Wrestlemania IX was Hogan’s last Wrestlemania apperance as he went out of Wrestlemania victorious against Yokozuna.
