Shawn Michaels Confirms Elijah Holyfield Transition To AAA

Sunday’s episode of WWF LFG on A&E featured WWE LFG and WWE EVOLVE talent Elijah Holyfield being informed by WWE SVP of NXT and Talent Relations Shawn Michaels that there was an opportunity for him to be working at Lucha Libre AAA for his career in WWE.

“I think, coming in the door, you were a very valued prospect to us. I’m sure, maybe from your perspective, it has been a while.

Maybe you’ve had some setbacks with the injury, but an opportunity has arose for for us to get you into the game. You are going to have the opportunity to go down to AAA and show the world who Elijah Holyfield truly is.

You will be meeting up with your old trainer, the Undertaker. The possibilities down there are going to be unlimited for you. Congratulations, and thank you very much for always giving it your best.”

Holyfield is the son of legendary boxer Evander Holyfield and has been working for WWE since November of 2024.

AJ Styles Comments on Condition It Would Take For Him To Consider Wrestling One More Time Post-Retirement

A recent episode of The AJ Styles Show podcast featured WWE Hall of Famer and co-host AJ Styles giving his thoughts about what it would take for him to consider coming out of retirement to potentially wrestle one more time.

“But how long is it going to take my son or sons to get in the position where I’m able to do this show with them that matters? If it doesn’t matter, I’ll be honest with you, I’m probably not going to come back for an indie show. I mean, even if it’s to wrestle with my boys. I probably do not want to do that. I don’t mind being a special guest and a manager kind of thing, but if I do come back, hopefully I’m not 60 and it’s on a big show. I would definitely let, who wouldn’t, what father wouldn’t want to come back and tag with his sons? So I don’t know if that opportunity will come because it depends how long it’s going to take him.”

Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk revealed earlier today on Instagram Stories that he is currently scheduled to be making an appearance at the August 15th WWE NXT live event in Petersburg, Virginia.
