As noted before, Rebel, real name Tanea Brooks, was diagnosed with terminal ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) this past May. AEW has released a special “Rebel Heart” merchandise with 100% of the profits going to support those affected by ALS. Rebel became an ambassador for the I AM ALS organization this past June. AEW will be holding a special themed “Rebel Heart” episode of AEW Dynamite on September 9 in Athens, Georgia in honor of Rebel.
Over the course of recent weeks, several AEW talents and personalities have been participating and challenging their co-workers to participate in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in support of Rebel. Besides those associated with AEW, others from within the wrestling world have also been nominated and participated in the challenge.
Bayley recently participated in the challenge and posted a video on Instagram.
In her video, Bayley accepted the challenge from Nattie and Gail Kim and nominated Roxanne Perez, Maxxine Dupri, Carmella, Corey Graves, Grayson Waller, Anita Vaughn, Safire Reed, Super P, Jordan Blade, Dani Mo, and Alexis Littlefoot.
