As noted before, Aleister Black, former Malakai Black in AEW, was released from WWE this past April as part of a larger batch of releases and departures. Black’s no-compete clause with WWE expired this past late July debuted a new fully shaved bald look earlier this month.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Black had preliminary contact with Major League Wrestling “a number of months ago” and specifically a couple weeks following his release from WWE.
Those spoken to reportedly stated that the conversations between Black and MLW did not go very far and no progress was made. It was reported that talks between Black and MLW did not go awry either for the reason for why it didn’t progress much.
It was also reported that conversations between the two sides has not been picked up since their preliminary contact.
In regards to AEW, it was reported that they have not heard from their sources about Black making a potential return to the company in the future.
