AEW Reveals Quaterfinal Round Matches for AEW Continental Challenge Cup & Nigel McGuinness Not Withdrawing After Foot Injury

AEW held a new AEW Continental Challenge Cup Selection Special on Monday on YouTube to officially reveal the Quarterfinal Round matches for their inaugural Continental Cup tournament.

In regards to Nigel McGuinness’ injury situation from this past week’s AEW Collision tapings in Las Vegas, Nevada, a video aired featuring McGuinness providing an update on his injury and status for the tournament.

McGuinness was seen sporting a walking boot on his left foot and stated that he did not suffer no break or fracture in his foot so he would continue competing in the tournament. McGuinness also stated that he is nearing the end of his in-ring wrestling career and this might be his only chance to compete in the Continental Challenge Cup. McGuinness also stated that he didn’t want to give up his spot and the possibility of competing in the Finals at Wembley Stadium at All In 2026.
