Commentary takes us back with the confrontation between Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay on Wednesday’s Dynamite. Tony and Ian run down the Continental Challenge Cup matches for tonight.

AEW Continental Challenge Cup Quarterfinal Round Match
Orange Cassidy vs. Kyle O’Reilly

The music of Orange Cassidy hits, as the Freshly Squeezed one makes his way out and down to the ring, but not before stopping to look at the Continental Cup on display in the entrance area.

Next up, Kyle O’Reilly as he makes his way out to the entrance area and struts his way to the ring.

The bell rings as we are underway! Kyle goes for a fist bump, but Cassidy puts his glasses on Kyle instead. Both men lock up, as Kyle takes down Cassidy. Kyle is taken down by Cassidy who covers him for a one count. Kyle reverses it and applies a head scissors on Cassidy. Orange finally gets out of the hold, putting on a side headlock on Kyle. Cassidy holds on as he is then whipped into the corner. Orange takes down Kyle again with a side headlock. Cassidy hangs on and then picks up Cassidy and drops him with a back suplex, but Cassidy holds on. Cassidy covers Kyle for a two count. Both men lock up again. Kyle grabs the right arm of Cassidy, as Orange fights him off. Kyle grabs Cassidy and manages to get his hands in his pockets slipping out of the hold from Kyle. Side headlock off the ropes, as Cassidy still has his hand in his pockets. Cassidy sends Kyle to the floor. Cassidy does a fake out and lets Kyle back in the ring. Kyle goes to the top and comes off to get in the ring. Kyle takes down Cassidy with a dragon screw on the ropes. Cassidy is offered to go in with the ropes lowered by Kyle, but he rolls under the bottom rope. Kyle snap suplexes Orange, who then comes back with a snap suplex of his own.

Back from the break, Cassidy suplexes Kyle again, which happened during the ad break per commentary. Kyle suplexes Cassidy again, as we have a suplex showdown. Cassidy charges at Kyle and then suplexes him, as both men go to opposite corners. Both men shake hands and then slug it out with slaps and kicks. Kyle comes back with a big lariat on Cassidy, as both men are down! Kyle kicks Cassidy but he is quick to get up. Kyle kicks Cassidy…Kyle applies the ankle lock on Cassidy, but he makes it to the ropes to break the hold. Cassidy picks up Kyle and slams him down, cover him, but no, Kyle kicks out a two. Cassidy DDT’s Kyle, but its still not enough to keep Kyle down. Orange goes to top and comes down, as Kyle rolls him up for a two count. Cassidy connects with a PK on O’Reilly. Kyle gets the ankle lock on Cassidy and is holding on! O’Reilly breaks the hold, as Cassidy rolls him over, but Kyle grabs the ankle and its enough for Cassidy to give up.

Winner: Kyle O’Reilly via Submission.

Both men show great sportsmanship after the bell. Kyle moves on in the tournament.

We go to a this past Wednesday at Dynamite with Renee Paquette talking with Nigel McGuinness about his injury, as Will Ospreay comes in and interrupts the interview, asking for ice for his back. Ospreay talks about how Nigel was an inspiration for him for British wrestling. Nigel tells Ospreay how proud he is and is one of the best wrestlers in the world. Nigel tells Ospreay he can do what no other British wrestler can do, is the win the title in London.

AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Five-Minute Eliminator Match
Erica Leigh & Tiara James vs. Divine Dominion (Lena Kross & Megan Bayne) (c)

The bell rings with Bayne double German suplexing both Leigh and James. Kross is tagged in and dumps Leigh. Bayne is tagged in. They look at the camera and tell the Brawling Birds they can do it better. Bayne and Kross hits Leigh with the two birds, one stone. Bayne covers Leigh but pulls her up. They then drop Leigh with the double chokeslam, with Bayne covering Leigh for the win.

Winner: Divine Dominion via Pinfall.

Daniel Garcia vs. Claudio Castagnoli

Back in the venue, the music of the Death Riders hits, as we have two members in the quarterfinal Continental Challenge Cup. Daniel Garcia makes his way out through the crowd. Next up, is Claudio Castagnoli, as he makes his way out from the back and through the crowd, wearing his lucha mask. Garcia looks on, as Claudio slowly enters the ring.

The bell rings, as Garcia and Claudio lock up hands. Claudio pushes Garcia to the corner. The ref calls for a break, which is clean. Claudio quickly takes down Garcia, grabbing him and attempts a pin, but Garcia goes to the ropes. The fans start chanting ‘Claudio.’ Garcia pushes Claudio and jaws at him. Garcia backslides Claudio for a two count, then tries for another pin, but Claudio kicks out again. Garcia chops Claudio as, Garcia then catches Claudio with a dragon screw. The action goes to the floor, as Garcia nails Claudio with forearms. Claudio is sitting in a chair at ringside, as Garcia charges him and connects with a big kick. Garcia then is nailed from behind by Claudio and dumps him over the barricade to the front row.

Back from the break, Claudio chops Garcia, who does down in the corner. Garcia comes back up. Claudio nails Garcia with a big uppercut. Daniel rises back up. Claudio unloads on Garcia again, but he gets fired up, as Claudio goes after Garcia again, beating him up. Daniel is back to his feet and does his dance, then rolls up Claudio for a two count. Garcia lays in punches on Claudio as the fans count along. Garcia comes down, as his ankle buckles. Garcia locks in the dragon tamer on Claudio! Garcia pulls him back to far, as Claudio gets out of the hold. Claudio picks up Garcia, but he applies a sleeper! Claudio tries to break the hold, but Garcia holds on. Claudio starts to fade. Claudio gets out of the hold and gets Garcia in the giant swing. Claudio goes at Garcia, but is met with a big knee! Garcia grabs Claudio and adjusts his neck, but Claudio comes back with a stomp on Garcia’s ankle. Claudio hits Garcia with an uppercut, but Garcia applies a sleeper. Garcia grabs Claudio, but he breaks out of the hold for a neutralizer attempt. Claudio connects with uppercuts, as Garcia then applies the sleeper on Claudio again! Claudio sinks, as Garcia tries for a neutralizer and connects! Garcia covers Claudio for a two count! Garcia goes for the dragon tamer, but Claudio counters and then connects with a big uppercut on Garcia and covers him for only a two count. Garcia spits at Claudio as Garcia tries to pull of Garcia’s left boot. He gets the boot off and the swings Garcia with the ankle without the boot. Claudio nails Garcia with a big uppercut and covers him for only a two count!

The fans chant for Garcia! Garcia connects on Claudio who then picks up Garcia, drops him and applies the ankle lock, as Garcia quickly taps out.

Winner: Claudio Castagnoli via Submission.

After the match, Claudio looks at the cup, then leaves through the crowd.

The Hurt Syndicate (Shelton Benjamin & Bobby Lashley) & Lee Moriarty vs. Ryan O’Neill, Nick Nolan, & Matt Maco

The Hurt Syndicate make their way out. Lee Moriarty is out next with Shane Taylor Promotions.

The bell rings, as Shelton slams down Maco. Hurt Syndicate bring in Nolan and O’Neill. Shelton and Lashley makes quick work of Neill and sends Nolan on the floor, while Moriarty submits Maco in the ring for quick work for this squash match. During the match Shelton sent Nolan into the barricade and Lashley then hit him with a spear.

Winner: The Hurt Syndicate & Lee Moriarty via Submission.

After the match, Shane Taylor insults the fans and says greatness looks like Lee Moriarty cleaning out the entire pure division of ROH. Taylor says greatness is STP becoming the greatest trios champions of all time. Taylor issues and open challenge, that bring the arena to go dark, with the music of the Bang Bang Gang hitting, as they make their way out and down to the ring, for this impromptu match.

Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor & The Infantry (Carlie Bravo & Capt. Shawn Dean) vs. Bang Bang Gang (Jay White & The Gunns (Austin & Colten Gunn)

Jay White and Carly Bravo start off…Colten is tagged in as Captain Sean Dean is tagged in. The Infantry double team Colten. Austin makes a blind tag, hitting the ropes, taking down Bravo. Austin drops Dean with a big right hand. Taylor is tagged in, as he drops Austin with a big right hand.

Back from the break, Bravo steps on the throat of Austin. Taylor takes down Austin who drops down. Dean then hits a bronco buster on Austin in the corner. Austin comes back, sending Taylor to the floor…Colten is tagged in. He takes down Bravo and Dean and then sends Taylor back to the floor. Colten runs the ropes, but is met with lariat by Taylor. He is tagged in. White is tagged in. he connects with chops on Taylor. White tries to get Taylor off his feet. White comes back with chops. Taylor grabs White, but he hammers chops on Taylor again. Taylor comes back with a big back body drop on White. Taylor misses from the second rope, as Dean and Bravo are in and make double tags. White takes down Bravo with a dragon screw leg whip. The Gunns comes in. They double team Taylor in the corner and then we get a DDT on Taylor. White then hits the bladerunner on Bravo and covers him for the win.

Winner: Bang Bang Gang via Pinfall.

After the match, White is handed a mic. White does the Gunns up schtick…White says this past Wednesday, the Continental Cup didn’t go his way. White calls out The Dogs and how they got the best of him after the Gunns took the week off. White calls out the world trios champions. White says he doesn’t need the help of the trios champs…they never lost the titles. White says the trios division is the wild west and they are coming for the gold and get a standing ovation.

Backstage: The Conglomeration

We go backstage with Lexy Nair and The Conglomeration. Lexy asks Kyle about the tournament. Kyle says that this tournament is his. Willow then says she looks at walking into Wembley as champ and hopes Mercedes is watching tonight.

Back from the break, we get a narrated video package from Ian Riccaboni giving a history of Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay’s history in NJPW.

Tommaso Ciampa & Nick Wayne vs. Komander & “Speedball” Mike Bailey

The bell rings, as Bailey and Ciampa will start off Bailey grabs the arm of Ciampa, but he counters it. Bailey grabs Ciampa, who connects with a back elbow on Bailey. Bailey comes back with his quick feet, taking down Ciampa, who goes to the ropes. Wayne is tagged in. Wayne stops on Bailey. Bailey bounces off the ropes, taking down Wayne. Komander is tagged in. Ciampa comes in and stomps on Bailey. Komander and Bailey come back and send Wayne and Ciampa to the floor. Bailey and Komander runs the ropes, leaping over the top, taking down Wayne and Ciampa on the floor.

Back from the break, Komander rolls up Wayne for a two count. Bailey sends Wayne in the corner. Bailey then drops Ciampa off the apron. Bailey kicks Wayne, dropping him. Bailey covers Wayne for a two count. Wayne takes down Bailey and tags in Ciampa. Ciampa rolls up Bailey for a two count. Ciampa tries to get Baily over, but he comes back with knees on Ciampa. Both men are down. Komander is tagged in, Wayne is tagged in. Komander takes down Wayne and comes off the top rope with a big splash. Ciampa hits Komander with a running knee. Bailey comes in a kicks Ciampa. Wayne accidently hits Ciampa. Komander lands a destroyer on Wayne and covers him for a two count. Komander then sends Ciampa to the floor, as Wayne rolls up Komander for a two count. Ciampa tries to take off the mask of Komander and then Wayne hits the protoplex on Komander to get the win.

Winner: Tommaso Ciampa & Nick Wayne via Pinfall.

After the match, there is some descension between Wayne and Ciampa.

Back from the break, we go backstage with the Death Riders. Wheeler Yuta complains how the blind draw sucks…Mox tells Yuta to shut up and Claudio asks, it sucks for who? Yuta asks Daniel Garcia how his ankle is. Garcia says it sucks.

Maya World vs. Willow Nightingale (c)

The bell rings, as Willow sends World to the corner. Both women lock up. Maya and Willow hit the ropes, as Willow takes down Maya. World grabs Willow from behind. World breaks the hold as Willow picks up Maya and drops her down. Willow runs the ropes, taking down Maya with a running shoulder tackle. Maya runs the ropes, as Willow goes for a lariat, but Maya ducks it. Maya grabs the arm of Willow, as she holds on to the ropes. Willow then hammers Maya in the corner. Willow goes for a lariat, but Maya ducks it…Maya sends Willow to the floor Maya then connects with a crossbody on Willow on the floor. Maya sends Willow back in the ring. Maya is up on the top and comes down, but Willow ducks. Willow connects with a pounce on Maya.

Back from the break, Maya is down. Willow grabs Maya and sends her to the corner. Willow connects on Maya in the corner. Willow goes for a pump kick, but World ducks it. Maya connects with an ax kick on Maya and then a shotgun drop kick off the ropes. Maya covers Willow for a near-fall! Maya sends Willow to the ropes. Maya runs the ropes and connects with a 619 type move on the champ! Maya runs the ropes, but Willow catches her and drops her with a spinebuster. Both women are down. The fans chant for Willow. Willow connects with a shotgun drop kick from the middle turnbuckle on Maya. Willow then hits a cannonball on Maya. Willow covers Maya, who kicks out at two. Willow goes to the second rope, as Maya is up. Maya sends Willow to the mat! Maya has Willow up and drops her with a fall away slam. Maya covers Willow, as the right shoulder barley comes up! The match continues. Maya and Willow exchange blows in the center of the ring. Willow comes back with a discus lariat! We get back and forth pin attempts. Willow then backslides Maya to get the pin.

Winner: Willow Nightingale via Pinfall to retain the AEW Women’s World Championship.

After the match, Willow celebrates, as Tony Schiavone runs down the current lineup for Dynamite, as the show goes off the air.
