Will Ospreay on Him Planning Special Ring Gear for His Match at AEW All In 2026, There Were Discussions To Go In A Potential Different Direction For AEW All In, Him Being Interested In Working More On Screen with His Wife Alex Windsor In AEW, & More

TV Insider held a recent interview with Will Ospreay. One of the topics discussed included Ospreay revealing that he will be wearing special colored ring gear for his AEW World Championship match against Kenny Omega at AEW’s All In 2026 event at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

“The gear is modeled after England’s 1966 World Cup win. So I have the red and white. I’m usually in green, but when I play, I think about my home and away kit. My away kit is the green color, but my home kit is red.”

Ospreay also gave his thoughts about how he will be having a lot of friends and family in the crowd at the upcoming event and believes he went “way and truly over” the standard comp ticket allotment.

Ospreay also gave his thoughts about how he would approach his title reign with a sports mentality if he wins the AEW World Championship.

“I’ve always come to Tony [Khan] with different ideas. Just because I have ideas with matches that could be different and introduce something that has more of a sports feel and a sports mentality. I’m very much inspired by the World Cup to be able to show people there’s different ways that we can present sports. There’s different ways that we could present wrestling in that sphere. So, if I was ever lucky enough to win this World Championship at Wembley Stadium, I feel like my legacy with that championship is to create something that no other wrestler has kind of done before and bring back that sports film mentality.”

Ospreay also gave his thoughts about MJF or Jon Moxley being his opponent or inserted into the match at All In 2026 and how there were discussions at one point to potentially go in a different direction for his match at the event.

“There were definitely discussions that it could go into different directions. But I feel like the natural and the right choice was to go with myself and Kenny because we’ve been preaching to the world that this is where the best wrestle. Myself and Kenny are two of the most influential wrestlers in the last decade. I’ve seen it in terms of our matches, and in terms of, like, the people that have followed in our footsteps. I can see guys like Callum Newman and Nick Wayne. People who took inspiration from Kenny.

To be able to put on an All In main event like that. You look at all the All In main events. You look at the MJF and Adam Cole match. That was kind of more humorous leading in than a sporting contest. It was more to engage the audience a certain way rather than a full sports contest. It served its purpose. Then it was the crowning of the greatest wrestlers who ever did it, Bryan Danielson against Swerve Strickland, and the story that they told there. Then it was the guts and the drive from Hangman Page to try and strip away Moxley’s briefcase to reveal the AEW World Championship. This match, to me, two of the greatest wrestlers of this generation going head-to-head and finally finding out which one is the best.”

Ospreay also gave his thoughts about him being open to working more on screen with his wife and AEW talent Alex Windsor in AEW.

“For sure, with the right storyline comes for it, for sure. We’re fine with that. People know. There’s no reason why we should try and hide the fact that we’re in a relationship and married to one another. She has been part of my schtick because she’s a huge part of my promos. Like there’s always that man with the wife that gives him a bit of a hard time, but he loves her. That’s the comedic part of our relationship that I love bleeding into my promos and into our life, because it’s just such a natural part of that authenticity that I like putting forward to people.

She’s very much along the lines of she likes to do the things that are good for her career, and I like to do the things that are good for my career. Now, one of these days, there probably will be a time where we probably have to work together, and I’d love to see it. To be honest with you, I’d love to see how we gel together as an onscreen couple because I feel like we have naturally good chemistry anyway. With our humor, we bounce off one another very well, so I’d like to see what we’d be like in those situations.”
