The Rock’s Filming Schedule Reportedly Could Make Potential WWE WrestleMania 43 Match “Very Unlikely”

Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s upcoming filming schedule for the Fast Forever film could impact his ability to wrestle at next year’s WWE WrestleMania 43 event in Riydah, Saudi Arabia.

Meltzer reported that while it is possible that The Rock could still make an appearance at WrestleMania 43, if he is starting to film Fast Forever this December, then him wrestling at the event is “very unlikely” due to it would take months to finish filming.

Meltzer reported that Saudi officials really wanted The Rock to wrestle at WrestleMania 43 next year and it is possible that if they offer enough money, there may be a way to make it happen. Meltzer also reported that the biggest issue would be The Rock finding the time needed to train for the match when he’s doing a movie like that. Meltzer stated “He has too much pride, if that’s the right word, to go out there and half-a** it. I mean, the one thing that you could say is every time he came back, he trained his a** off.“

The Rock last appeared in WWE at Elimination Chamber 2025 in March of 2025.
