Backstage Update on Willow Nightingale’s Hand Injury Angle at 8/26 AEW Dynamite Show

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Glasgow, Scotland featured a backstage segment involving Mercedes Mone attacking AEW Women’s World Champion Willow Nightingale specially targeting her hand that was struck with a steel chair.

The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez reported that his sources stated that Nightingale’s hand injury is legitimate and not a storyline one.

Alvarez reported that those spoken to stated that Nightingale is currently expected to be able to work AEW’s All In 2026 show this weekend.

No other details were given regarding Nightingale’s injury.

Nightingale is currently scheduled to be defending her AEW Women’s World Championship against Mercedes Mone at All In 2026 on August 30 at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
