Eddie Kingston Provides Update on Him Not Being Cleared To Compete & Pulled From AEW Continental Challenge Cup

As noted before, Eddie Kingston was recently pulled from AEW’s Continental Challenge Cup tournament due to him not being cleared to compete due to an undisclosed issue. Despite his undisclosed medical issue, Kingston is currently scheduled to compete for the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship against Hechicero at this Friday’s CMLL Super Viernes show at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico.

CMLL held a media call earlier today featuring Kingston as a guest. One of the topics discussed included Kingston providing an update on his current health situation.

“I feel good. I feel very good, honestly. I have training later tonight. I feel good. I know people were concerned because I had to be pulled from the Continental Cup, which hurt me because I don’t like Claudio and it would’ve been great to smack him around a little bit, but I feel 1,000 times better. It was a little bit of a scare with my health. I got checked; everything is good, and I got cleared. Once I was cleared, it was, ‘Alright, let’s get to work.’ I’ve been dying to get back to work.”
