WWE held a double set of WWE RAW and SmackDown television tapings on Friday at the Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
The first taping was for next week’s WWE RAW show on Monday, August 31 while the second taping was for next week’s SmackDown show on Friday, September 4.

- Gunther, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn gave a promo
- Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk spoke to SmackDown GM Nick Aldis backstage. Punk offered Johnny Gargano a shot at his Undisputed WWE title and the match was made official for the show.
- Charlotte Flair & Tatum Paxley defeated WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid)
- WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green spoke with SmackDown GM Nick Aldis backstage. This led to Nia Jax showing up to interrupt
- Nia Jax defeated Tiffany Stratton
- Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton gave a promo
- Lil Yachty music video aired
- Bakusai (Shinsuke Nakamura & Kyoki) defeated The Miz & Kit Wilson
- Giulia vs. Blake Monroe went to a no contest after Giulia attacks Blake Monroe before their match
- Undisputed WWE Championship – CM Punk (c) defeated Johnny Gargano
- Following the match, Punk offered Sami Zayn a title shot at next week’s show in Mexico City.
