Pre-Show Arrivals
The traditional Wrestlers Arriving To Work montage played and when we got to AAA Mega Champion Dom Mysterio, he was Dorian Roldan. Roldan told him not to do anything and he would talk to Rey, then he left. Immediately Dom pulled out a phone and told someone on the other end to “go with Plan B”
Eight-Man Tag Team Match
LWO (Joaquim Wilde & Cruz Del Toro), Lince Dorada, & Mini Abismo Negro vs. Axiom, Mr. Iguana, Noisy Boy, & Mascarita Sagrada
Axiom and Wild started the show, rolling through some wristlocks until Wilde got some momentum that Axiom cut off with a dropkick. Wild returned with a clothesline and then tagged in Del Toro. Axiom dodged a double team and tagged in Noisy boy who kicked Del Toro in the head.
Del Toro left the ring and then snuck up on Noisy from behind. He threw him into the corner and tagged in Dorado. Noisy tagged in Sagrada and Dorado complained. Eventually he pucked oup Sagrada and dropped him. Sagrada tagged in Iguana to everyone’s delight and he hit a spingboard DDT on Dorado.
A brawl broke out and Mini Negro flew from the top rope to take out a couple of people on the outside. Del Toro followed with one of his own, then Dorado did it, leaving a pile of bodies at ringside.
Back in the ring, Wilde tagged in and clotheslined Iguana in the corner. The LWO double teamed Iguana with a suplex, but Wilde’s cover could only get a two count. Negro tagged in and hit Iguana with a backbreaker. He tagged in Dorado who knocked Sagrada off the apron before dropping an elbow on Iguana.
Iguana came back with some chops, but then Dorado hit him with a backstabber. He went for a shooting star press, but Iguana moved for a hot tag to Sagrada. Sagrada took out Del Toro then dodged a move from Wilde. He suplexed Wilde and then hit Dorado with a springboard shoulder.
Negro tagged in for an airplane spin, but Sagrada countred it into a pin. Unfortunately, Negro wasn’t the legal man. Noisy boy hit a poisonrana on Dorado then a twisting springboard dive to the outside. Sagrada took down Negro and then shot him through the ropes. Sagrada then hit a top rope springboard onto Negro on the outside.
Del Toro dropkicked Iguana in the ring, but Iguana dodged a Fenix Splash from the top rope. Iguana hit a sit out DDT and made the cover to get the win for his team.
Winner: Axiom, Mr. Iguana, Noisy Boy, & Mascarita Sagrada via Pinfall.
AAA Reina de Reinas Championship #1 Contender Gauntlet Match
Adelicious vs. Lady Shani vs. Thea Hail vs. La Catalina vs. La Hiedra
Current champion Flammer made her way to the ring to watch the match that will determine who she faces at Triplemania. She has held the title over 1000 days and has “beaten everyone” along the way.
Starting off the match was Adelicious who was last seen back in February. Her opponent was Lady Shani, a former two-time Reina De Reinas Champion.
They locked up and ran through some wristlocks and technical holds with no one getting the clear advantage. Shani shoulder blocked Adelicious, who matrixed out of a clothesline to respond. They traded nearfalls and Shani kicked Adelicous in the back. She followed that up with a backstabber and worked her over in the corner.
Shani devliered a huge kick and went for a cover, but Adelicious kicked out and reversed Shani into the corner. She then did handsprings into a stomp. Adelicious went up top, but Shani avoided her 450. They rolle dup and Shani made a quick pin.
First Elimination: Adalicious via Pinfall.
Up next, NXT’s Thea Hail sprinted to the ring and dropkicked Shani. Hail started working Shani’s arm and then a headscissor takedown. Shani rolled to the outside and Hail dove onto her. Back in the ring, Shani turned things around with a kick to the head. Shani took her down for a cover, but Hail kicked out.
Shani put Hail i a Crab and then picked her up to bend her in half. Shani went for an armbar, but Hail got out of it. Hail scrambled up top and lured Shani in for an armbar through the ropes. They rolled through some tumbleweed covers and Hail stacked up Shani for the 1-2-3.
Second Elimination: Lady Shani via Pinfall.
Hail now had to face La Catalina who ran down and kicked Hail in the face. She went up top for a dropkick and then a hip attack in the corner. Catalina hit a fisherman’s suplex, but Hail dodged a hip attack against the ropes and stomped her. Hail went worked over Catalina’s arm and jammed her fingers under the turnbuckle so she could kick them.
Hail put on an arm breaker hold and dropped a knee on Catalina’s bent arm. Catalina dodged a throw to the corner and threw clotheslines at Hail. Catalina hit her with a crossbody from the top and then a knee to the back in the corner. Catalaina picked Hail up on her shoulders, but Hail counted it into a kimura lock. She couldn’t get it in tight and Catalina fought out of it.
Hail tried it again, getting the lock on this time Catalina countered it though, bridging Hail into a pin to get the win.
Third Elimination: Thea Hail via Pinfall.
La Hiedra, the stablemate of Flammer in Las Toxicas was the final entrant who came to the ring with her Mixed Tag Title belt and stomped Catalina in the middle of the ring. Hiexra threw some punches on the ground and stomped Catalina some more, picking up where Hail left off working the arm.
Hiedra went for a cover, but Catalina kicked out. Hiedra twisted her arm behind her back and shoved her into the corner. They started slugging out with Hiedra getting the upper hand and kicking Catalina to the corner. Catalina fought back with open-handed strikes and sent Hiedra out of the ring, where she dove onto her.
Back in the ring, Catalina hung Hiedra across the top rope, then went up top. Hiedra wasn’t finished though and pulled her down to the mat. Hiedra went for a scoop slam but Catalina blocked it. Hiedra hit a face-first slam for a cover, but Catalina kicked out at two. Hiedra yelled at the ref then rolled out of the ring to get her Tag Title belt.
She went to swing it at Catalina but the ref stopped her. Flammer entered behind the ref’s back and accidentally hit Hierda with her title belt. That gave Catalina an opening for a bicycle kick that put La Hiedra down for good.
Winner: La Catalina via Pinfall.
AAA World Tag Team Championship
Los Americanos (Rayo & Bravo Americano) vs. War Raiders (Ivar & Erik) (c)
Los Americanos earned this title shot last Saturday as they won a 4-way match. The War Raiders have held the Tag Team titles since Noche de Los Grandes in May when they took them from Psycho Clown and Pagano of the Psycho Circus.
Rayo and Erik kicked things off with Erik slamming Rayo, but then not being able to catch up with him. Rayo tagged in Bravo and they hit a double team on Erik. Erick bulldozed Bravo into the corner where Ivar took over, kicking the smaller man. They double teamed Rayo wit strikes and then Erik tagged back in.
Rayo tagged Bravo back in and the War Raiders immediately double teamed him in the corner. Rayo started fighting back, but Ivar dropped him with a hige punch and then a forearm acros the chest. Rayo tried a sunset flip, but Ivar dropped down. Erik came in and Rayo took them on 2-on-1.
He didn’t last long as they traded shots and then Erik hit him with a vicious knee to the head. Rayo kept swinging at everything that moved until he could get a hot tag to Bravo. Bravo took Erik down with a flying clothesline and then dropkicked Ivar off the apron. Bravo picked up Erik and slammed him, then went up top for a crossbody.
Erik got a tag to Ivar who went up top, but Bravo met him there and went for a hurricanrana from the top. He tagged in Rayo and then took out Erik. Rayo landed a swanton on Ivar, but could only get a two count.
Ivar hit a spin kick on Bravo and then Rayo was taken out by Erik with a knee. Erik threw Ivar at Bravo, but the count only reached two. The War Raiders looked to end it with a double slam, but Bravo got out of it and tagged Rayo. Ivar DDT’ed Bravoe, but he came back and the Americanos doouble teamed Ivar. They went for a cover, but Erik broke it up at the last second.
Bravo got legal and then The Americanos clubbed him until Erik showed up to help. Bravo dodged a slam in the corner and Bravo and Rayo got Ivar up on Brav’s shoulders. Erik dragged Rayo out of the ring as Bravo hit an airplane spin and slam on Ivar. Bravo hit a diving headbutt, but seemed to knock himself out. Ivar quickly rolled him up and made the cover to retain their titles.
Winner: War Raiders via Pinfall to retain the AAA World Tag Team Championship.
After the match, replay showed that Erik had slipped a title belt to Ivar who made sure Bravo’s headbutt landed square onto it.
El Carnicero vs. Chris Carter
This is the in-ring debut of El Carnicero (the Butcher) who has been stalking clowns in his spare time. A video showed him being driven to the match in a cage in the back of a pickup truck.
Carter didn’t have a snowball’s chance from the start. He was about half the size of Carnicero and was tossed around like a rag doll by the big man. Carnicero put him on his shoulders and then threw him over the top rope, sending Carter crashing to floor. Carnicero grabbed him and threw him into the ringpost.
Cernicero threw Carter back into the ring and chokeslammed him to the mat where he regular choked him until the ref made him stop. Carnicero started bouncing Carter’s head off the mat and the ref called for the bell.
Winner: None.
After the match, Carnicero continued the beatdown of Carter, trying to rip his face. Suddenly Dave and Murder clowns showed up to try and make a save. Carnicero clotheslined them both and then stomped the clowns. Psycho Clown ran in with a kendo stick and started breaking it against Carnicero’s back.
With the big man on his heels, Psycho clotheslined him over the top rope. Carnicero hit the ground standing and Psycho grabbed a mic. Psycho challenged Carnicero to a Mexican Street Fight at Triplemania, which presumably will be accepted and made official by GM Rey Mysterio.
AAA World Cruiserweight Championship #1 Contender Three-way Match
Jack Cartwell vs. Nathan Frazer vs. Mini Vikingo
The winner of this match becomes #1 Contender and get’s a shot at Rey Fenix’s Cruiserweight Title at Triplemania.
The bell rang and Cartwheel offered handshakes. Vikingo and Frazer accepted and then the flurry of offense started. It was fast and furious with Cartwheel trying a double pin for a double two count. Frazer was sent to the outside where Vikingo and Cartwheel enjoyed some one-on-one time.
Frazer came back in with a double dropkick from the turnbuckle and then worked over Vikingo in the corner. Frazer did the same to Cartwheel in the opposite corner until Vikingo sent Cartwheel to the outside. Frazer and Vikingo ran the ropes with Frazer connecting with a dropkick that spun Vikingo 450 degrees.
Frazer hit a suplex on Vikingo for a two count as Cartwheel dragged himself back into the ring. He hit a headscissor on Frazer and Cartwheel cartwheeled into Mini Vikingo. Cartwheel then hit a lariat on Fraser and dropkick on Vikingo. He covered Frazer for two and then tried again with Vikingo for two.
Vikingo countered a slam from Cartwheel and sent him out. He step kicked Frazer and then hit him with a frog splash. Vikingo thens ent them both to the outside and hit them with a twisting dive over the tope rope to take them out.
Cartwheel managed to throw Vikingo up against the steel steps where they traded chops. Cartwheel sent Vikingo into the barricades and then Frazer hit him with an elbow. Frazer then grabbed a charging Cartwheel and hit him with a Spanish Fly from the top of the ring steps.
Frazer put Vikingo back in the ring and lined him up for a springboard, but walked into a superkick instead. Frazer rebounded and hit Vikingo with a kick to the head, then an inverted Spanish Fly of the second rope. Frazer made the cover, but Vikingo kicked out at two.
Cartwheel came back in for a slam stand and then a crucifix pin on Frazer. It only got a two count though, so he tirned his attention to Vikingo, working him over in the corner. He went for a cover, but Vikingo kicked out. Cartwheel set up Vikingo on the turnbuckle, but Fraze knocked him out of the way. Cartwheel grabbed Fraser and powerbombed him, then Vikingo hit Cartwheel from the turnbuckle.
Vikingo delivered meteoras in the corners and Frazer sent him to the floor with a kick. Frazer went up top, but Cartwheel kicked him down. Cartwheel then hit a tornado moonsault onto the outside onto Vikingo. Frazer then dropkicked Cartwheel into the steps.
Tossing Cartwheel back in, Frazer went for a frog splash, but Cartwheel kicked out. Cartwheel bridged Frazer into a german supplex pin, but couldn’t get the three. Cartwheel put Frazer across his shoulders and Vikingo hit a double stomp on them both. All three lay in the ring.
They all got to their feet and spread some strikes around. The brawled for a moment until Cartwheel sent Vikingo over the ropes. He superkicked Frazer out and then cartwheeled over the top rope onto both of them.
Cartwheel threw Frazer back in and went up top. Fraze met him there for a superplex and a twisting neckbreaker for two. Frazer went up top but Vikingo met him there for a Spanish Fly. Vikingo went back up top, but Cartwheel met him there. They brawled until Vikingo fell and Frazer took over.
Frazer got pushed off the ropes by Vikingo into the waiting Cartwheels arms for a two count. Vikingo went for a shooting star press on Frazer, but Cartwheel kicked him in mid air and went for a press of his own. Cartwheel rolled up Vikingo, but Frazer broke up the count.
Frazer went for a splash, but Cartwheel moved and Vikingo launched himself for a 450. He went to cover Frazer, but Cartwheel launched himself onto them both to break the cover. Then, the bell rang. The 20-minute time limit expired and the ref declared a draw.
Winner: None.
That brought out AAA Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix. Fenix grabbed a mic and thanked them for an incredible match. Fenix said that at Triplemania Night 2, he will defend his title against all three of them in a Fatal-Four Way.
Vacant AAA Latin American Championship Four-way Match
La Parka vs. El Fiscal vs. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. vs. Damian Priest
Before the match started, a brand-new absolutely gorgeous AAA Latin American Championship belt was shown to the audience. This will also be Priest’s first match in AAA. I’m puling for La Parka in this one, but we’ll see how it shakes out.
The bell rang and Priest took a step back. The other three attacked him, but Priest fought them off until Wagner and La Parka double clotheslined him out of the ring. Fiscal gave him the dive and then La Parka hit a backbreaker on Wagner. Priest came back in and cleared the field with heavy strikes.
Priest walked with The Undertaker on the top rope then threw a cross body onto Wagner and Fiscal. He threw elbows in three corners and then tossed Wagner out. He grabbed La Parka for a falcon arrow then went off the ropes for a dropping slam on La Parka. He went for a cover, but Fiscal and Wagner broke it up.
Priest then turned his attention Wagner and then traded strikes with Priest clocking him with a big right. Priest went off the ropes right into a superkick and brainbuster from Wagner. Wagner hit Fiscal with a cannonball on the outside then a frog splash on Priest for a two count.
Wagner dropped his elbow pad, but Fiscal cut him off with a clothesline. Fiscal scoop slammed Priest and then hit a springbaord crossbody on Wagner. La Parka tossed Wagner out of the ring and then suplexed Fiscal into the corner. He dove onto Priest on the outside then did the same to Fiscal.
La Parka hit a codebreaker on Wagner in the ring and went for a cover but could only get a two count. Fiscal interrupted a bonebreaker and Wagner head butted him. Then he hit a jumping DDT on La Parka. Priest came back with a clothesline though and all four were down in the ring.
Everyone tried to take out Priest who sent Wagner to the outside. La Parka caught him with a spanish fly from the turnbuckle though and then took a tumble to the outside while Priest punched Fiscal. He threw him with a Razor’s Edge and then set up Wagner for one. Priest landed it and dropped his straps, calling for a chokeslam.
He nailed Fiscal with one, but La Parka broke up the pin. La Parka hit a bonebreaker on Fiscal and 1-2-3 La Parka is the new Latin American Champion!
Winner: La Parka via Pinfall to become the new AAA Latin American Champion.
In-Ring: Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio, Dorian Roldan, El Grande Americano
Next, GM Rey Mysterio made his way to the ring and Andrea Bazarte joined commentary for translation. Rey talked about the importance of Triplemania and the Mega Championship. Rey was then interrupted by the arrival of AAA Mega Champion Dominick Mysterio and Dorian Roldan.
Roldan took a mic and told Rey that they needed to talk about the currently suspended Omos. Rey said they have already talked about it and there’s nothing to say. Dom said that Omos doesn’t deserve to be suspended and Roldan told Dom to let him do the talking.
Roldan said that what Omos did (beating up Rey) was wrong and Omos knows it was wrong and they want to put it behind them. Ray said that the answer is no, but he appreciates what Roldan was saying. Dom jumped in and told Roldan this is what he said would happen. They are wasting time talking to Rey. Rey said that his answer still stands and if they want problems, that’s on them. He then called El Grande Americano to the ring.
Americano came to the ring to a big ovation while JBL made timely Game of Thrones jokes. Rey asked if Americano had anything to say before they made the match official. Americano said that Dom calls himself the “King of the Luchadores” but at Triplemania in Mexico City Dom will have to chance to try and show it.
Americano grabbed the contract and signed it. He passed it to Dom to sign and Dom said that he would only do it if Rey lifted Omos’ suspension. Rey said that if he didn’t sign, Rey would strip him of the title. Americano asked Rey not to do that as he wanted to win the title for Mexico and his people.
Tensions got high as Dom threw the title belt onto the table. Then Omos wandered into the crowd. Rey told him to leave and Omos produced a ticket to the event. Rey then smacked Omos with the mic and threw hands at him until Americano pulled Rey off. Dom got into it, beating up Americano and throwing him into the barricades and then the steel steps.
Dom grabbed a chair from under the ring and threw Americano back into the ring. He belted him across the back with it until Rey stepped in. Rey said that he has changed his mind and will let Omos come back if he can get through Rey at Triplemania. If Omos wins, he is reinstated, but if Rey wins, he is fired.
Omos agreed and Dom signed the contract and then threw it back into the ring, making the Mega Championship match official as well.
Six-Man Tag Team Match
Perros del Mal (Daga, Angel Garza, & Berto) vs. Penta, Rey Fenix, & Dragon Lee
Daga and Los Perros wanted Penta to re-join them, but Penta felt Bronco Nima was a weak link in the group. They had a match and Penta beat Nima, leading to Daga throwing him out of the group. Penta called on his brother Fenix and Dragon Lee to take on his old stable, calling them his real family.
The bell rang and Lee and Angel went right for each other. Lee and Angel backed off tagging in Fenix and Berto respectively. Those two ran the ropes with Fenix eventually getting aa takedown. Then Daga ran across the ring and knocked Penta off the apron. They brawled on the outside while Berto tagged Angel back in. Daga rejoind them and they triple teamed Fenix i the corner.
Daga sent Fenix into the ringpost and went for a series of covers, but Fenix kicked out each time. Fenix went off the ropes, but Angel pulled them down. Karmen Petrovic kicked him in the face after he landed and Angel draped his shirt over Fenix before hitting a running knee to the face.
Berto tagged in and continued the beating of Fenix. Fenix turned things around with a some open handed strikes. He then dropkicked Berto and went to get a tag to Penta, but Daga was there and pulled Penta off the apron, preventing the tag. Berto dropkicked Fenix in the ring for a two count.
Fenix hit a headscissor on Berto and got the tag to Penta who cleared the ring of Perros with a double DDT and then threw Dragon Lee at them. Penta stomped Angel in the corner and Lee went for a cover, but Petrovic got Berto’s foot on the ropes. Lee superkicked Angel then hit him with a wresling ball dropkick.
Lee went for a Styles Clash, but Daga dropkicked him before he could complete it. Daga hit an elbow assisted neck breaker and then tried a suplex, but Lee countered and tagged in Penta.
Penta and Daga went at it one-on-one with Penta getting the takedown. They traded chops until Penta got a superkick in. Daga returned with a high knee and both ended up on the mat. Daga tagged Berto and Penta got to Fenix. Berto hit a high kick for a two count and Fenix responded with a rolling cutter.
Lee and Angel ran in and traded knees and headbutts. Angel turned Lee inside out with a superkick. Lee scrambled up top and Angel went with him. Lee fought out of it, hanging Angel up for a double stomp. Daga intercepted him with a brainbuster. Then Penta dropped Daga and Berto kicked Penta.
Berto hit a sit-out powerbomb on Fenix who came back with a poisonrana for a two count. Lee sent Angel to the floor and Daga followed. Penta and Lee dove through the ropes to take them out and Berto went up top for a moonsault on Fenix. Fenix got his feet up though and hit a Mexican Muscle Buster on Berto to get the 1-2-3 and win the match.
Winner: Penta, Rey Fenix, & Dragon Lee via Pinfall.
After the match, Karmen Petrovic got up on the ring. That distracted all three and Los Perros jumped them from behind for a beatdown as the show ended.
