La Catalina Wins AAA Reina de Reinas Championship #1 Contender Gauntlet

Sunday’s AAA Ola de Calor event at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas featured La Catalina becoming the winner of the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship #1 Contender Gauntlet match.

The order of entrants were Adelicious, Lady Shani, Thea Hail, La Catalina, and La Hiedra.

The order of eliminations were Adelicious, Lady Shani, Thea Hail, La Catalina, and La Hiedra.

As a result of her victory, La Catalina will be facing off against Flammer for the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship at AAA TripleMania 34 Night 2.

Psycho Clown Challenges El Carnicero To Mexican Street Fight Match at AAA TripleMania 34

Sunday’s AAA Ola de Calor event also featured one new potential match set for AAA Triplemania 34.

This new potential match was a Mexican Street Fight match of Psycho Clown vs. El Carnicero.

This new potential match was setup over recent weeks of AAA TV shows over El Carnicero’s ambush attacks on Psycho Clown. During today’s show, El Carnicero made his official in-ring debut for AAA in a singles match against Chris Carter that went to a no contest after El Carnicero refused to listen to the referee and stop smashing Carter’s head onto the mat. Following the match, Dave The Clown and Murder Clown ran out trying to save Carter to no avail leading to Psycho Clown running out for the save and cleared the ring of El Carnicero. Psycho Clown grabbed a microphone and challenged El Cernicero to a Mexican Street Fight match at Triplemania.

Four-Way AAA Cruiserweight Title Matches Set for TripleMania 34

Sunday’s AAA Ola de Calor event also featured the second of two new matches announced for the card of Night 2 of AAA Triplemania 34, which takes place on September 13 at the CDMX Arena in Mexico City, Mexico.

This new match announced was an AAA Cruiserweight Championship Fatal Four-way match of Jack Cartwheel vs. Nathan Frazer vs. Mini Vikingo vs. Rey Fenix (c).

This new match was setup following the #1 Contender’s match between Cartwheel, Frazer, and Mini Vikingo ending in a time limit draw and Fenix coming out stating that he wants to face all three of them for his title match at Night 2 of Triplemania 34.

La Parka Wins Vacant AAA Latin American Title

Sunday’s AAA Ola de Calor event also featured La Parka defeating El Fiscal, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., and Damian Priest in a Fatal Four-way match to become the new AAA Latin American Champion.

This title was vacated by El Hijo del Vikingo following him suffering a knee injury this past June.

This was La Parka’s first-ever AAA Latin American Championship victory in his AAA career.

Rey Mysterio vs. Omos Set for AAA Triplemania 34 Night 1

Sunday’s AAA Ola de Calor event also featured one new match announced for the card of Night 1 of AAA Triplemania 34, which takes place on September 11th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This new match announced was a singles match of Rey Mysterio vs. Omos. This match also featured two special stipulations of if Omos wins, then his suspension in AAA would be officially lifted but if Mysterio wins, then Omos can never work again in AAA.

This new match was setup following an AAA Mega Championship match contract signing segment involving AAA GM Rey Mysterio, AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio, Dorian Roldan, and El Grande Americano. Dominik demanded for Rey to lift Omos’ suspension as terms for him to agree to sign the match contract. Rey informed him that if he doesn’t sign, then he won’t have a match at Triplemania 34 and he will be stripped of the title. El Grande told Reey to reconsider since that is not what he wants since he wants to win the title at Triplemania.

This led to Omos coming out from the crowd and stood at ringside. An angry Rey got out of the ring and called for security to come out to remove Omos since he wasn’t allowed to be here. Omos responded puling out a ticket for a seat and laughed at Rey as he patted his head. This led to Rey losing his cool and atatcked Omos as El Grande pulled Rey away only for Dominik to attack El Grande from behind. After some more brawling, Rey grabbed a microphone and told Omos that he will be having a match against him at Triplemania and if he wins, then he will have his suspension lifted. Rey then told Omos that if he loses, then he can never show up in AAA again.
