Leon Slater Match Omitted From MyAEW Broadcast of RevPro’s 14th Anniversary Show, RevPro Promoter Says He & Not TNA Made Decision To Not Air The Match

This past Saturday’s 14th Anniversary Show for Revolution Pro Wrestling in London, England featured a singles match between Leon Slater and Liam Slater.

This match was notable for being unavailable to watch live on the MyAEW streaming broadcast of the event while it aired on RevPro’s streaming service. One person who purchased the event on MyAEW had stated on Reddit that the show went into an extended intermission following FTR’s match against Cowboy Way for the Undisputed British Tag Team Championship.

This quickly led to online speculation of TNA Wrestling and TNA President Carlos Silva being responsible due to Silva had previously pulled several TNA talent from their scheduled bookings this past March and April over issues involving TNA’s new restrictions on talent bookings. This included Leon Slater being pulled from a scheduled match against Ricochet for WrestleCon, Nic Nemeth being pulled from a scheduled match against MJF for Create-A-Pro, and Moose being pulled from a scheduled booking for Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling.

The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported in Sunday’s Daily Update that RevPro promoter Andy Quildan had informed him that he was the one who made the decision to not air the match on MyAEW and there were no direct instructions from TNA to not air it on MyAEW.

Quildan also stated that he did it in order to avoid any problems since it involved a TNA contracted wrestler but this match will be put up on their YouTube channel soon and also on MyAEW to make it up for those who purchased the event on the service.

“Andy Quildan noted to us that the Leon Slater vs. Liam Slater match will be put up on YouTube soon from yesterday’s RevPro show. There were no direct instructions not to air the match on MyAEW but to avoid problems since it involved a TNA wrestler, he made the call not to put it on MyAEW. It did air on the RevPro stream, but to make it up for those who purchased the PPV from RevPro, they are putting it up.”
