Backstage Update on WWE’s Long-Term Vision For Concerts Segments at Big WWE Events

As noted before, WWE’s upcoming WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event show on September 6 at the Allstate Arena in Atlanta, Georgia is currently scheduled to feature a musical concert by hip hop artist Quavo.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE’s parent company TKO Group was the one who made the decision to have a musical performance at WWE’s upcoming event. It was reported that Quavo’s concert was viewed internally as being a test for incorporating more performances into major WWE shows going forward.

Those spoken to reportedly compared TKO and WWE’s long-term vision for these concerts to halftime performances at major sporting events.

The Usos Comments on “We Draw. That’s The Difference. Stop Bitching And Do Something” In Reference To Recent Andrade El Idolo Comments

As noted before, former WWE and current AEW talent Andrade El Idolo had stated in a recent episode of the Luchando Por Tus Sueños podcast that he believes some of the Samoan wrestlers in WWE are always getting undeserved opportunities compared to Mexican wrestlers in the company. Andrade also clarified that he was not talking about Roman Reigns but did not name who he was talking about specifically.

The Usos’ Jimmy & Jey Uso recently posted cryptic comments on Twitter stating:

“We draw. That’s the difference between us and them. Stop bitching and do sum shit.”

While The Usos’ comments were not in direct response to anyone or anything, this quickly led to online speculation of them talking about Andrade’s recent comments and the speculation of he might have been talking about them.

Teams Announced for Six-Man Tag Match at Sept. 8th WWE NXT Show

This past Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured NXT GM Robert Stone announcing a Six-Man Tag Team match for next week’s show on September 8.

This match was announced to feature a combination of Grayson Waller, Saquon Shugars, Cruz Montana, EK Prosper, Mason Rook, Tony D’Angelo, and Keanu Carver competing in two teams. The winning team was announced to then face off in a Triple Threat match the following week with the winner becoming the new #1 Contender for the NXT Championship.

NXT GM Robert Stone announced that Tony D’Angelo, Mason Rook, & Saquon Shugars will be teaming up to face EK Prosper, Cruz Montana, & Keanu Carver for the Six-Man Tag Team match at next week’s WWE NXT show.
