The Rock Comments on How He Has Reached His Lowest Weight Since High School

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently announced on Instagram that he currently weighs 235 pounds and is the lowest weight he’s been since high school.

Johnson stated that he dropped around 50 pounds for the role he is currently filming for the upcoming new movie Lizard Music.

Johnson also stated that he was at 282 pounds when he started filming The Smashing Machine biopic and had to stay that heavy for the filming of the live-action Moana remake film.

“Thanks for all the cool questions lately about my training/diet/conditioning and why I slimmed down for my current role I’m filming now (Benny Safdie’s Lizard Music).

I took almost a year to lose approximately 50lbs – from stepping on set to film, “The Smashing Machine” weighing 282lbs, to my current weight today – 235lbs. Last time I was this weight, was my freshman football season at University of Miami. I was a little “light in the ass”, for a defensively tackle, but still a monster 👹😉

At this current weight and body composition, I’ve never felt better – strength, endurance, cardiovascular, metabolic health, inflammation, joints, insulin sensitivity, stress hormones, immune function, incredible pumps etc.

I wanted to take my time, drop the weight in a smart, wise and healthy way – nothing extreme. I also focus on partitioning my carbs strictly around my training and tapering off from there.
What’s also made a HUGE impact in my progress was completely cutting out all refined sugars. For an athlete who was constantly battling a calorie surplus 😂🙋🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️ this move was transformative.
Also keeping fat on the lower side as well. 50-60g daily.

Mercedes Martinez’s Torn ACL Surgery Set For Oct. 15th After GoFundMe Covers Down Payment Needed

As noted before, former WWE and AEW talent Mercedes Martinez had announced this past January that 2026 would be the final year of her full-time in-ring wrestling career. Martinez’s retirement tour was cut short earlier this month due to her recently suffering a torn ACL injury. Martinez had revealed earlier this month that she must pay for her ACL surgery upfront before it can be scheduled and performed due to her being uninsured.

Martinez provided an update on Monday on Twitter announcing that her surgery is currently scheduled to take place on October 15 after her GoFundMe fundraiser managed to raise enough money to cover the down payment needed.

Johnny I Pro Show held a recent interview with TNA Hall of Famer Rhino. One of the topics discussed included Rhino’s thoughts about the origin of his iconic Gore finisher move. Rhino stated “I didn’t know I was going to stick with it. It was just one of those things where Tracy Smothers asked me if I could do it. I didn’t want to do it because Edge started doing it, Adam, and then Goldberg was the one that got it over. So then I started doing it because Tracy asked me if I could do it in a match, and I didn’t want to do it. I was hesitant. I didn’t want to be a move stealer or something like that because Goldberg got it so over, and he goes, ‘I didn’t ask you what the guys in the locker room may think. I asked you if you could do it.’ I go, ‘yeah.’ So I did it one time in 96 on an independent show, a guy asked me to do it. The promoter at the time was explaining how to do it, and I’m like, well, ‘I’ll never do that again.’ I literally thought that to myself after I hit that, ‘I’ll never do that again,’ and that’s one of my one of the things I’m known for but- and then Paul Heyman gave it the name Gore.
