Backstage Update on The Rock’s Possible Involvement For WrestleMania 43

As noted before, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s status for next year’s WrestleMania 43 event in Riydah, Saudi Arabia is currently in doubt due to Johnson’s upcoming filming schedule for the new Fast Forever film.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE’s creative team is currently operating under the assumption that The Rock will not be available to be part of any storyline for next year’s WrestleMania 43 event.

It was reported that plans can still change due to the lengthy amount of time left until the day of the event.

Backstage Update on Penta’s Star Status In WWE Following Roman Reigns Match

This past Monday’s WWE RAW show in Mexico City, Mexico featured Roman Reigns defeating Penta to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that several people within WWE currently believe that Penta deserves to remain at the top of the card following his match against Reigns. Those same people reportedly feel that Penta has established himself as a main eventer star in WWE.

In regards to a potential rematch between Penta and Reigns in the future, it was reported that WWE officials currently do not have plans for a rematch between the two to take place. WWE officials reportedly do currently view a potential rematch as something they can go back to in the future due to the reception from Penta and Reigns’ match in Mexico City.

WWE x AAA Worlds Collide 2026 Broadcast Status Update

As noted before, WWE currently does not have plans for their upcoming WWE x AAA Worlds Collide 2026 event on September 26 in Rosemont, Illinois to be broadcast as a live show.

The Wrestling Obsever’s Bryan Alvarez reported that his sources could not confirm nor deny if Worlds Collide would air as a live show or not but the event will be filmed with commentary.

Athlon Sports initially reported that WWE’s upcoming event would be broadcast live as a stream on WWE and AAA’s YouTube channels. This report was later updated and changed to no longer be confirming that the show would air as a live stream.
