Kenny Omega on His Wrestling Career Future Being “I’m Gradually Getting Older, But It’s Not The End”

Hikaru Shida held a recent interview with Kenny Omega at this year’s Tokyo Game Show 2026 convention in Tokyo, Japan. One of the topics discussed included Omega’s thoughts about how he is feeling since his match against Will Ospreay for the AEW World Championship at this past August’s AEW All In 2026 event and the future of his in-ring wrestling career.

“It may have been the hardest match of my career. Of course, I’m gradually getting older. My strength is gradually going away. I’m getting weaker, but at Wembley Stadium, in front of around 50,000 people, I lost in the main event, but I truly gave everything I had. I gave it my all. I’m still very proud. Yes, you see damage, but my heart is already healed. I couldn’t be more proud of our champion Will Ospreay. I hope that everyone will have a great memory of what will be a great memory for me at Wembley Stadium. It is not the end. Please support me for next time too.”

Omega has been absent from AEW programming since this past August’s All In 2026 event.
