As noted before, WWE officials currently view Penta as a main event type start for the company following the reception to his match against Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the September 14th episode of WWE RAW in Mexico City, Mexico.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that many within WWE creative had initially viewed the Penta vs. Reigns match as being a one-and-done but the reception to the match has led to that view being changed.
It was reported that several within WWE creative now believe a rematch between Penta and Reigns makes sense from both a business and creative standpoint.
In regards to this year’s Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match, it was reported that those spoken to stated that Penta is now currently viewed within WWE creative as being the “heavy favorite” to win this year’s Men’s Money in the Bank.
It was reported that this was not WWE officials’ original plans for the winner as of this past August’s SummerSlam 2026 event but the reaction to Penta’s match against Reigns in Mexico City may have changed things.
