Video: TNA Mystery Attackers

Impact started with a recap of the mysterious attacks that have been happening backstage. Leon Slater, Moose, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Ryan Nemeth and others have all been found knocked unconscious in really wierd positions. Who’s behind it? Detective Matt thinks he knows, and the culprit’s last name rhymes with Shmemeth.

In-Ring: Leon Slater, Nic Nemeth, Ryan Nemeth, Santino Marella

The show formally opened with #1 Contender to the World Title and victim of an unconsciousing, Leon Slater. Slater has a date with Nic Nemeth over the world title at Bound For Glory, but tonight he just wants to have a chat.

Slater reminded us that he beat Ryan Nemeth last week, only to get hit in the face by Nic with the World Title belt. Slater said that it was sad how far Nic has fallen and every week he see’s Slater getting better and that makes him nervious. Slater emphatically stated he could beat Nemeth and asked if they should maybe do the match tonight?

Nic Nemeth’s music hit and he came to the top of the entrance ramp, mic in hand. Nemeth said that he’s not even a little afraid of Slater and said even though Slater has a bright future, he’s still the World Champion and Ryan is going to become X-Division champion at Bound For Glory. When that happens, the Nemeths will be running TNA (maybe forever).

As Nemeth called Slater dumb, Ryan slid into the ring behind him. Slater then said that it was funny that even though he’s
“dumb” he knew Ryan was right behind him. That started a brawl of the pull-apart variety. Nemeth and Slater fought off security and then started hammering on each other resulting in the appearance of Director of Authority, Santino Marella.

Santino said that from this very moment, until Bound For Glory, Slater and Nemeth are forbidden from laying a finger on each other. If they don’t comply, Nemeth will be stripped of the title and Slater will lose his title shot. Santino provided some clarification, saying they could talk at each other, but NO TOUCHING or the match was off.

Backstage: The Hardys

The scene switched to Detective Matt in the back, espousing his “Two Mysterious Attacker Instead of Just One” theory. Matt said that the attacker(s) made a mistake by not finishing off the Hardys. Jeff then returned and said that he will never forget being attacked. Matt said that in one hour, he and Jeff will be in the ring and they will be demanding that the attacker(s) reveal themselves.

Backstage: Daria Rae, Indi Hartwell

Back from break, Daria Rae was texting someone and Indi Hartwell wandered up to tell her no one is afraid of her. Hartwell said that Rae is a bully and a “bad person.” Rae told her to walk away and Hartwell called her a joke. Raie then slapped Hartwell, who smiled and said “got ya!” Then Santino was revealed to have been filming the encounter on his phone and surmised that the board might like to see the footage.

Vacant TNA X-Division Championship Qualifier Match
KJ Orso vs. Ryan Nemeth

The first match of the night was, well, this one. Orso has previously challenged for the TNA International Title and Nemeth is the younger brother of TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth. I’m sure there’s other interesting things about him, but who has the time? The winner of this match joins the field vying for the X-Division title at Bound For Glory.

They locked up and Nemeth immediately started goading Orso. He grabbed Orson in a wasitlock, but Orso got out of it and armdragged Nemeth to the mat. Orso sent Nemeth to the corner for a crossbody and then hit him with a Fisherman’s suplex for a two count.

Orso targeted Nemeth’s arm, but Nemeth sent Orso through the ropes and hit him with a neckbreaker on the outside. Nemeth pulled Orso back into the ring and put him in a chinlock. Nemeth threw Orso to the mat and started posing. He then whipped him into the corner and made an arrogant cover attempt.

Nemeth sent Orso face-first to the mat and stomped him. He fishhooked Orso until the ref made him stop. Orso came back with a dropkick and then a moonsault off the ropes. He went for the KJ Clutch and dropped Nemeth on his head with an Orso Driver. He went for another Clutch, but Nemeth backed him into the corner and hit a DDT for a two count.

Orso hit a suplex and then a spinning springboard into the KJ Clutch, but Nemeth was able to turn him over to force a two count. Nemeth sucker punched Orso and then sent him into the post. He hit a Hollywood Ending and that was it. Ryan Nemeth heads to Bound For Glory.

Winner: Ryan Nemeth via Pinfall.

Backstage: Mustafa Ali, Order 4

Back from break, Mustafa Ali was wondering who’s idea it was to have his first match back from the hospital be a triple threat for his title. So who’s idea was it? It was Mila Moore’s idea. Ali said that she was “no brain, all bimbo.” That made John Skylar mad who started yelling at Ali, saying that Moore is a good person. Ali shrugged and said “remember what she said about you last week?” and left. You can check out last week’s recap for that, but it wasn’t great for Skylar.

Dot Combat Match
The Righteous (Dutch & Vincent) vs. Rich Swann & BDE

The Righteous have been determined to pull BDE away from Rich Swann and bring him to their side. But when BDE made his allegiance clear by helping Swann defeat Vincent, The Righteous fired back with a challenge. Now, BDE stands alongside Swann as they battle Vincent and Dutch in a “Dot Combat” match, which means tornado rules, no DQ and falls count anywhere. Why its called that? I really don’t know.

The usually pretty chill Swann and BDE stomped to the ring and attacked the Righteous right away. They dispatched Swann and double teamed BDE, but Swann came back and met Vincent atop the post. He bit Vincent and then dove onto Dutch. He grabbed BDE and they double slammed Vincent.

Swann and BDE went under the ring looking for weapons and found chairs. They threw a couple in the ring and BDE “plugged in” Swann to a gaming controller and mashed buttons until Swann hit Dutch with a chair. Swann dove onto Vincent on the outside while Dutch a BDE fought up the ramp to the entrance. Dutch hit BDE’s neck with his knee while Vincent battled Swann lower on the ramp.

Everyone moved back to ringside where Vincent knocked Swann’s noggin against the ringpost. Dutch added a clothesline for good measure and then sent BDE into the steel steps. Dutch went to drive a knee into his head, but BDE moved and Dutch caught the worst of it.

In the ring, Vincent bounced Swann’s head off of a chair. Swann fought back, but Vincent drop-toed him face first onto the chair. Swann got to his feet and hit Vincent with a chair. They fell into a sitting position on the chairs and traded punches. They moved to a standing position, but Swann slipped and crotched himself on the chair. That didn’t stop Vincent though and they fought to try and suplex each other.

Neither succeeded in suplexing the other, so Vincent just threw Swann’s head at a chair for a two count. Dutch tried to get into the ring, but BDE grabbed his legs, holding him back. Swann hit a windmill kick on Vincent, but Dutch shook off BDE and then powerbombed Swann.

Dutch set up a chair in the corner between the ropes and charged BDE and Swann in the corner. They moved though and Dutch went face first into his own chair. Swann and BDE superkicked Dutch, but that just seemed to make him angrier. So they hit a double cutter and rolled him out of the ring.

Swann and BDE decided to “GET THE TABLES” and grabbed one from under the ring. They set it halfway up and then grabbed a quietly bleeding Dutch* , but Vincent came in for the save, DDT’ing Swann and then then throwing BDE into the ring. BDE caught him with a cutter and then dove onto Dutch on the outside.

Dutch caught him in midair, but BDE got out of it. Dutch then charged, BDE dodged, but Swann got caught in the crossfire and went through the table. BDE scrambled into the ring and hit a cutter then a frog splash. He made the cover on Vincent, but Dutch broke it up. Vincent grabbed BDE and the Righteous hit Orange sunshine to get the win.

Winner: The Righteous via Pinfall.

After the match, The Righteous absolutely destroyed BDE with a chair shot and then left.

Backstage: Avery Styles, Frankie Kazarian

Backstage, Avery Styles was talking with Frankie Kazarian. Kaz said that he pulled some strings and got Styles into the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match as his frist TNA match. Kaz won that match twice, so he offered Styles any advice he needs. Kaz then mentioned that he’s ALSO in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match and then left.

Backstage: Indi Hartwell, Harley Hudson, Santino Marella, Xia Brookside

Back from break, Indi Hartwell, Santino Marella and Harley Hudson were discussing the decision of the baord to suspend Daria Rae after seeing the footage of her slapping Hartwell. Santino said that with Raie suspened, he could make Hartwell vs Xia Brookside for the Knockouts title at Bound For Glory official. Xia Brookside was standing just out of view of the camera and came huffing in delcaring that he couldn’t do that! Santino said, yeah I can! and then it was over.

In-Ring: The Hardys, Joseph Sawyer, Samuel Shaw

The top of the hour hit, which meant that the Hardy Boys (Matt and Jeff, not Frank and Joe) came out and headed straight for the ring to solve the Mystery of The Anonymous Attacker(s) of TNA.

Matt grabbed a mic and said that the Attacker(s) fun is over. The Hardys are now INSISTING that they come out and reveal themselves. Jeff said that normally he’s a pretty chill guy, but not now! They called out the Attacker(s) and waited.

The screen behind Matt glitched out and the sound of chainsaws mixed with drone music and static filled the arena. The lights flickered and then two people in black appeared in the ring and jumped the Hardys. The lights were still flickering during the beatdown, but when they came back on, Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw (fka Dexter Lewis and Joe Gacy) stood unmasked in the ring!

Commentary declared “they’re here…” and then cut to commercial.

Eddie Edwards vs. Elijah

Elijah doesn’t like The System. The System doesn’t like anyone. So, now they’ll see if they can settle things one-on-one inside the ring. They Mystic Cowboy Prophet Drifter came down to the ring with his smoky guitar. Edwards came to the ring with Alisha (who’s smokin’ in another way, amirite? Sorry, I’ll see myself out).

Edwards started the match clubbing Elijah who used the ropes creatively to reverse it and hit Edwards with a shoulder. Elijah grabbed Edwards by the head and bounced it off the apron before exiting the ring. He ran around and built up some speed to hit Edwards with a jumping hip attack.

Back in the ring, Elijah went to Walk With The Undertaker, but Alisha knocked him off the ropes. Elijah went off the ropes, but Alisha grabbed his ankle. Elijah got out of the ring to yell at her and Edwards dove onto him like a missile. He threw Elijah back into the ring and went for some ground ‘n pound.

Edwards threw some chops at Elijah, sending him sprawling. Edwards went for a tiger driver, but Elijah countered it into an Alabama Slam. Elijah charged Edwards in the corner, but missed. Edwards went for a backpack stunner, but Elijah countered it into a DDT.

Elijah tried to Walk With The Undertaker again, this time succeeding, hitting a DDT off the top rope for two. Edwards threw Elijah into the corner and then hit him with a big boot. Edwards went off the turnbuckle, but right into a knee strike from Elijah. Elijah scrambled up top, but Bryan Meyers and Bear Bronson came running down.

Ricky Sosa followed and took them out so Elijah could hit a Highwayman’s Farewell on Edwards and pick up the victory.

Winner: Elijah via Pinfall.

Backstage: Moose, AJ Francis, Expressions

Backstage, Moose cut a promo about how his neck might be hurt, but he beat Frankie Kazarian, proving he’s the Face of The Franchise. AJ Francis and Expressions arrived to say nuh-uh! It is Francis who is the Face of The Franchise, not Moose. Francis said that he brought in Dude Wipes in as a sponsor and Moose countered with a “because your ass stanks?” which might be the legitimate funniest thing Moose has ever said. This resulted in a challenge for a match at some point between Moose and Francis, that Expressions accepted.

TNA Knockouts World Television Championship #1 Contender Four-way Match
Elayna Black vs. Gabby Forza vs. Harley Hudson vs. Jada Stone

Black and Forza went at it right off the bell with Stone and Hudson joining forces to try and take out Forza. Forza overpowered them and threw Hudson into the corner for some strikes. Black flew in and hit Forza with a knee to the back before whipping her off the ropes for an elbow. Black hit a headscissor on Forza nd then Stone came back in to dodge Black’s offense.

Stone hit Black with a dropkick then a splash, but Hudson took over hitting Stone with a fallaway slam. Forza picked up Black and Hudson grabbed Stone. They hit them off each other, then threw them in duelling suplexes. Forza then military pressed Hudson onto Black.

Forza put Stone up in a staaaaaallllling suplex on the second rope. Husdon and Black came up to meet her and all four fell backwards in a multi-woman superplex. At this point, the Elegance Brand appeared atop the entrance ramp to watch the match.

Stone and Black hit Forza with a double kick and Hudson shoved stone into the ropes. Forza then threw Stone into Hudson, but Stone went off the ropes and hit Forza with a Spark Stunner. That let Black hit Stone with the Blackout to win the match and become #1 Contender for the Knockouts TV Title.

Winner: Elayna Black via Pinfall.

Backstage: John Skyler, Mila Moore, Mustafa Ali, Special Agent Zero

Backstage, Mila Moore thanked John Skylar for standing up for her earlier in the night. Skylar said that Moore deserves better than how Ali treats her. They then looked longingly into each other’s eyes and Moore leaned in to kiss Skylar (she’s a little taller). Before lips met lips though, Mustafa Ali interrupted, yelling at them. Moore quit Order 4 on the spot and said Skylar was quitting with her. They left and Ali angrily gave his title to Agent 0 to hold while he went looking for Tasha Steels.

Backstage: Zoey Serrano

Back from break, Zoey Serrano was on the phone with the suspended Daria Rae, assuring her that Indi Hartwell will not make it to Bound For Glory.

TNA International Championship Three-way Match
Trey Miguel vs. Jason Hotch vs. Mustafa Ali (c)

So far, winning back the International Title from Jason Hotch has cost Mustafa Ali a hole in his lung, Mila Moore and John Skylar (Tasha Steels kinda was done with him before this. Previously, Miguel and Hotch had a #1 Contenders Match, but Special Agent 0 interfered before there was a winner. The compromise? Ali defends the TNA International Championship in this Triple Threat Match.

Hotch attacked Ali from behind as the bell rang and he and Miguel stood nose-to-nose in the ring. Ali bailed from the ring and Miguel followed. Hotch approached from the other side, so Ali tried to slide across the ring to get away. They caught him though and laid him out with stops.

Miguel and Hotch formed a loose alliance to bring the hurt to Ali, with Hotch assisting on a DDT from Miguel. Ali bailed to the outside again and Hotch was waiting for him for a DDT of his own on the floor. Miguel and Hotch threw Ali back into the ring but couldn’t agree on who got to him first. That resulted in the trading of blows on the outside opening the door for Ali to dive onto them through the ropes.

Ali took a minute to yell at Tasha Steels, then whipped Hotch into the ring steps. Ali turned his attention to Miguel, sending him back into the ring for a rolling neckbreaker. Ali hit a standing moonsault on Miguel, but could only get a two count. He sent Miguel to the corner i some stomps, but Hotch cam back in with some chops.

Hotch went up top, but Ali tripped him off the turnbuckle and hit a knee to the back of his neck then a powerbomb. Ali went for the cover, but Miguel broke it up. Miguel hit a German suplex off the ropes, and then hit Hotch with a brutal DDT through the ropes.

Ali hit Miguel with a bell clap then a back body drop on Hotch. Ali stood tall in the ring, mugging for the crowd. Ali put Miguel up on the post where they traded blows. Hotch stood up but Ali sat him back down with a superkick. He went back to Miguel who took hom up top, but somehow Hotch scrambled up and hit them both with a double Spanish Fly from the turnbuckle!

Much deserved “this is awesome” chants rang out around the arena.

All three traded shots in the middle of the ring. Hotch took out Ali with a spin kick, but Ali came back and threw Hotch at Miguel who hit him with a Destroyer. Ali threw Miguel to the side and grabbed Hotch and hit him with a piledriver, but somehow Hotch kicked out.

Ali began loudy wishing Hotch’s daughter Happy Birthday before throwing him out of the ring. Ali went up top for a 450, but Miguel moved and hit him with a cutter and then a destroyer through the ropes to the outside. Hotch ate a DDT from Miguel who threw Ali back into the ring for a meteora from the top rope, but Ali kicked out at two.

Miguel grabbed Ali, but Hotch few in and hit them both with a double DDT. Hotch put Miguel up in a stalling suplex and grabbed Ali to hit him with a DDT at the same time. Hotch went up top and hit a frog splash on Miguel (Ali moved out of the way) to get a two count.

Ali called for Tasha Steels to throw him the International Title belt. She brought it too him, but Hotch went off the top with a double stomp and accidentally hit Steels. Hotch checked on Steels, but Ali tried to roll him up off of it. Ali sent hotch headfirst into the ringpost. Miguel went after Ali, who hit him with the title belt and made the pin to retain the International Title.

Winner: Mustafa Ali via Pinfall to retain the TNA International Championship.

Backstage: The Hardys

The Hardys put Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw on notice that they are going to war!
