Malakai Black Loses PROGRESS World Title & Declares Return of Tommy End at Sept. 27th PROGRESS Event

Sunday’s Chapter 198: When September Ends event for PROGRESS Wrestling in London, England featured Cara Noir defeating Malakai Black, former Aleister Black in WWE, to become the new PROGRESS World Champion. This ended Black’s reign as champion after 21 days.

Following the match, Black gave a speech to the crowd announcing the return of his Tommy End ring name and persona.

Gurv Sihra Provides Positive for His Collapsed Lung Injury

As noted before, The Bollywood Boyz’s Gurvinder “Gurv” Sihra, former Sunil Singh in WWE, suffered a collapsed lung injury during a match at an event for Pure Power Wrestling in Canada earlier this month.

Shira provided an update earlier today on Twitter stating that his trauma doctor informed him that his collapsed lung is healing and he is on the right path to recovery.

“Back at the hockey rink today with some positive news: I am not 100% yet, however, my trauma doctor said, X-rays show I’m on the right path to recovery & my collapsed lung is healing. 🙏🏽

I have a few more tests to complete and until then, Hockey dad life in full mode 🏒🇨🇦💪🏾”

Joseph Sawyer (Joe Gacy) Provides Update After Suffering Knee Injury at Sept. 26th GCW Event

Saturday’s The Score event for Game Changer Wrestling in Cincinnati, Ohio featured indies and TNA talent Joseph Sawyer, former Joe Gacy in WWE, suffering an apparent knee injury.

Sawyer initially defended his GCW World Championship against Jazzy Yang that ended early after Yang suffered a nose injury. This led to Jeffery John coming out for an impromptu match against Sawyer for his title.

Following a cannonball spot by John to Sawyer in the corner, Sawyer immediately rolled out of the ring and started limping around. Sawyer grabbed a microphone and stated that he might be done for months and got into a confrontation with a fan before leaving the ring area without his GCW World title.

Looks like Joseph Sawyer got hurt here.

Following the show, Sawyer provided an update on Twitter stating that he did suffer a legitimate injury and was unable to finish the match. Sawyer also stated that his injury also appears to not have been as bad as he had thought and likely won’t be out of action for long.

“To clear the air.

Yes I did get hurt. No I didn’t finish the match. I tried to get the feeling back in my knee to see if I could and sadly I couldn’t. Luckily it seems like it isn’t anything that will put me out for an extended about of time.

So yes I think I’ll be okay for now.”

In a follow-up, Sawyer provided another update earlier today stating that he is walking better already this morning and thanked everyone for their support.
