Will Ospreay Comments on His Reason For Bringing Clockwork Carnage Match Stipulation To AEW
As noted before, Saturday’s AEW Collision show in Highland Heights, Kentucky featured the announcement of a new match type called the “Clockwork Carnage” for the AEW World Championship match at WrestleDream 2026. This new match is a hybrid of an Ironman match for the timed scoring aspect and a Casino Gauntlet match for the randomness of the competitors entrants.
AEW World Champion Will Ospreay reflected earlier today on Twitter about his reason why he wanted to bring the Clockwork Carnage match type to AEW due to the success it has had with Pro Wrestling EVE, which he also works for.
“Clockwork Carnage was such a huge success on @ProWrestlingEVE I wanted to bring the ultimate endurance match to AEW.
Opportunity knocks as now we can mix it up with so many different talents & create something completely new in wrestling.”

Zayda Steel Comments on Being First Arab Woman In AEW
MuscleManMalcolm held a recent interview with Zayda Steel. One of the topics discussed included Steel’s thoughts about her being the first woman of Arab decent in AEW and how much it means to her.
“It means a lot. I mean, I say all the time, representation matters. A lot of people might look at me and think I’m some white blonde girl, right? I’m not. I’m from Morocco. Both my parents are from Morocco. I’m Arab. My family’s Muslim. What you see is what you don’t get, actually, because I’m not what I look like, and I try to… say as much as possible. Because, you know, maybe there’s a little Arab girl out there that’s like, ‘wow, Zayda’s champion. Maybe I can be champion one day.’ Because I’m going to be honest, I didn’t really get that growing up. There wasn’t much representation on the woman’s side. Shout out Layla and Aliyah and Jinny. But there really wasn’t many Arab girls or Middle Eastern girls out there. So I want to make it just to show them that they can.”

The Rock Expands on His Tribute To “PAC” Benjamin Satterley & Praise of AEW Comments
As noted before, AEW talent PAC, real name Benjamin Satterley, passed away on September 27 at the age of 40. TKO Board member and WWE talent Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was among those who paid tribute to Satterley, which was notable for him mentioning AEW by name and giving his condolences to AEW CEO Tony Khan and everyone else in the company. Several within WWE were believed to have been very surprised and caught off guard by Johnson’s wording in regards to him openly mentioning AEW and his praise of those working there.
Johnson recently reflected on Instagram expanding his comments about his tribute to Satterley stating that he does not care nor does he see ‘competition’ in wrestling when a wrestler passes away and instead humanity matters most to him.
“You’re right brother, and humanity matters to me. I was born into this business and I’ve seen it all, but when one of our own passes away, I don’t care nor do I see “our competition”, I care about the wrestlers and how it affects them. I’ve been there. To me, humanity matters most.”
The Rock comments further on his recent video memorializing PAC, noting that humanity matters more than wrestling competition. https://t.co/yqpUYBW1ak
