Enzo Amore Clarifies Comments Regarding AEW Locker Room Fights Being Made Public Saying Interview Was Recorded In March 2025 & Calls Out Maven For Waiting To Release Interview With Him After PAC’s Passing

Maven Huffman, former Maven in WWE, held an interview with former WWE talent Enzo Amore, also known as Real1 and nZo in the indies. One of the topics discussed included Amore’s thoughts about backstage disagreements and altercations in the WWE locker room and a past backstage incident he had with Curtis Axel during their time together in the company.

“That’s funny, man. And I never heard anybody talk about that incident ever. I didn’t know it was out there. And tell us about it. I’m not a d*ck. I’m just a really good guy. But you take my kindness for weakness, I immediately throw hands.

Hey bro, I had to fight. I took it. I had to fight for everything I got. I didn’t get where the f*ck I got being some pushover slump. Never. When sh*t hit the fan backstage or when I had to go walk in a room and talk to Vince McMahon one-on-one or I had to go talk to Hunter one-on-one, those conversations stayed there.

And with the boys, the same sh*t. If I fought, if I fist fought another guy in the locker room, you probably never heard of it cuz I probably f*cking won, right? I appreciate that. What happens in the WWE locker room as far as fist fights never left.”

Amore also gave his thoughts about his serious issues with AEW for allowing details of backstage altercations being made public.

“F*ck AEW for all the b*tch a** fighting that they do over there and letting it leak and sh*t. It wasn’t that way when I was there. A few legendary, a certain level of, we are some bad a**es that you got to keep some credibility in that locker room.”

Following the release of the interview, Amore responded on Twitter clarifying his comments stating that his interview with Maven was recorded in March of 2025 and called out Maven for waiting to release the interview shortly after “PAC” Benjamin Satterley’s death. Amore also praised AEW for the tribute show they held for Satterley.

“I talked to Maven in March of 2025.

He waited to come off the heels of a beautiful tribute show for PAC to post the interview.

I thought the tribute show was absolute class. Everyone who paid tribute, thank you for honoring Ben.

I’m still grieving, Maven is clearly not.”

Maven responded in the comments section of his video explaining the reason why he had waited so long to release the interview.

“Hey guys. We filmed this video with Enzo back in May 2025. Originally, we had him react to the infamous Simon Gotch interview in which Simon buried Enzo. However, after we finished filming, Enzo texted me and asked us to cut that part.

Without that reaction, we decided not to release it. However, after I shared the story in another video, many of you asked us to release whatever we could. Since last Friday’s video was shorter, we figured, why not? Hope you guys enjoy.”
