Friday’s WWE NXT house show event in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada featured NXT talent Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo suffering an injury following a scary spot to the outside.
This injury took place during an Eight-Man tag team match between BirthRight (Stacks, Uriah Connors, Charlie Dempsey, & Lexis King) and Tony D’Angelo, Tavion Heights, Shiloh Hill, & Shawn Spears.
According to those in attendance, Lorenzo suffered the injury after taking a back body drop from the ring onto the floor. This led to medics tending to Lorenzo who was unable to continue and was placed in a neckbrace and stretchered to the back. This led to the match being stopped as a result.
The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez reported that his sources confirmed Lorenzo’s injury and stated that he was sent to the hospital for additional treatment. Alvarez reported that those spoken to stated that Lorenzo had landed badly on the floor causing his injury.
No other details were given regarding Lorenzo’s current injury situation.
