This past Sunday’s TNA Bound For Glory 2026 event on October 11 in Tampa, Florida featured TNA Wrestling holding their annual Hall of Fame ceremony for this year’s class of inductees. Among those who were inducted was former WCW wrestler and AAA creative member Konnan who was not in attendance and instead WWE NXT talent Cruz Montana accepted the induction on his behalf.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that Konnan has been hospitalized and in physical rehab for months after a “nightmarish” year of illness and pain for him.
Meltzer reported that those spoken to stated that the worst is over for Konnan but there was no way he could travel for TNA’s Hall of Fame ceremony and he did not send a tape to be played for him.
Konnan was revealed this past June to have undergone a double leg amputation and WWE has covered his medical expenses.
