Saturday’s AEW WrestleDream 2026 event at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida featured former WWE talent Ilja Dragunov making his official debut appearance in AEW.

During the show, Renee Paquette was seen on the stage and introduced the newest talent signing to AEW. This led to a large metronome being shown ticking away and the lights going off. This led to Dragunov’s entrance video and music playing and him coming out to a loud ovation from the crowd.

Following his appearance, AEW CEO Tony Khan announced on Twitter that Dragunov recently signed an official contract with AEW.

Prior to his AEW debut, Dragunov had been with WWE from 2019 until his departure this past August.
