As noted before, AEW commentator Jim Ross underwent successful brain surgery this past August to deal with a health issue that has affected his memory since his lengthy hospital stay for an undisclosed medical issue this past June. Ross recently revealed that he has been dealing with “blistering headaches” since his surgery that has been caused by the shunt placed in his brain and had underwent a successful second surgery earlier this month to fix the issue with his shunt. Ross has been hospitalized again since earlier this month due to a low oxygen health issue.
A recent episode of the Grilling JR podcast featured co-host Conrad Thompson providing an update on Ross’ current health situation and hospitalization.
“I finally got an update on the ‘Voice of Wrestling,’ Mr. Jim Ross. As you all know, JR had to do a little outpatient visit recently. And it turns out that he got a bit of a chest cold, he’s got some sort of infection in his chest. They said that his oxygen was low, so he spent the night in the hospital, but I’m happy to report that he is home and on the mend.
They still haven’t gotten his shunt hooked back up yet, so we’re hoping for that sooner rather than later. But at the same time, we’re hoping he gets to feeling better. He’s just under the weather right now. As our pal Jim would say, ‘Hey man, if it wasn’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all.’ But we’re hoping, knock on wood, that Good Ol’ JR will be back here next week.”
